[i]---see where this game landed on my Metroidvania tier list beneath this review!---[/i] It's decent, though quite unexceptional. The music has a good mood too it. It's a Metroid-like, without feeling like a clone. It feels somewhat similar to Ghost Song. I initially thought that the map lacked walls, which was making it difficult to know where to backtrack. Turns out they are there, just difficult to make out - which is a problem. I actually found one of my gripes with this game is that I couldn't work out where I was meant to go. There is screen tearing in places. On the ship was where I first noticed it, however now i'm also seeing it in some place on the second level as well. A couple of bosses broke on my first attempt at them. I was literally able to stand still and mash the fire button while the boss stood still doing nothing and eventually died.
