Great retro game! So clever and fun! Surely one on the greatest game of 2026!
Links Awakening + Mole Mania = GOTY 2026
A damn good and challenging game. It has it's moments that annoy me. I'm not crazy about the Tower climbs or the final dungeon but it's not enough to deter my enjoyment. It is a must play
Haven't really touched this 2D puzzle/platformer genre before but decided to recently and started with this one. Its probably the best one I have tried out of the 5 games I played after. The exploring aspect was always interesting and the combat felt really good with enough variation in weapons and passives. Don't let the old school pixels deter you like it almost did for me, the gameplay feels great regardless.
Sometimes I hit a wall accidently and it explodes by mistake 10/10 game
Such an incredible game with so much love and polish put into it. I found the beginning of the game to be very challenging, particularly with the difficulty of top down platforming, but as you acquire trinkets and BONE UP, it turns from slightly frustrating to difficult, but fair. The art direction, soundtrack, and sense of discovery are Mina's strongest features.

'member when Zelda used to be 2D, and good? Apparently, Yacht Club Games does because this really scratched the itch! Mixing Bloodborne health management (and an improved reclamation of lost XP), Castlevania subweapons, and mixing bonfires with Resident Evil save rooms (GENIUS), this game manages to improve upon the original Zelda formula while still bringing the meaty dungeons and fights you expect. With so many new ideas, they weren't all going to be bangers but despite some gripes with a few bosses and features I think this game has graduated from "play if you like the genre" to "play if you like retro games" - I'm sure some people might not like the "simplicity" of the combat but for me it was a real treat from start to finish. And what a finish! The story overall wasn't too groundbreaking, but the ending surprised me and for that alone it's a great story. Finishing the game turned out to be just the beginning, ending with only 7/50 achievements and unlocking TONS of unique modifiers to make a New Game + a special experience - we're not talking just simple damage/hp modifiers (although those do exist) - you've got randomizers, special challenges (e.g. only one subweapon, which is really cool actually because normally you wouldn't be able to keep a single type of subweapon throughout the game without backtracking a lot!), really a lot of neat stuff here and the list just kept going and going... A ton of love was put into this game and it really shows. Thank you Yacht Club Games for the great experience!
Great game! Not the most difficult of it's time, but one of the most innovative for sure!
Who is the extremely incompetent dumbass that tested this final boss. First phase is a nightmare, second phase was fun. Rest of the game is fun with a rough start. Combat and movement is not as polished as shovel knight. If they do a sequel, and there is potential. I hope they refine the movement and level design more.
