Milly is just sort of there. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ In less than 9 hours idle, she gathers enough leaves to unlock all there is to unlock. I'm grateful Milly doesn't use a leafblower. The landscapers here use those. I have to turn up the chill tracks from Milly to drown out the leafblowers outside. I think maybe I hate my life? Is Milly helping or is Milly a BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive Bandages that is superficially making my intolerable condition seemingly more tolerable? The last two achievements for the two activities won't zarking unlock after I've bought them and Milly has participated in them. No. I hate my life. Edit: Upon a new restart, the achievements unlocked. I'm back to hating my life without just cause to blame Milly. Milly's just still sort of alright.
This was a really fast idle game, you can 100% it in 5 hours. I think the art style is very cute and it looks really sweet on your desktop. It reminds me a lot of Ropuka's idle island in that way (though that took me around 300hrs to complete). I like this kind of idle game because there is no pressure or anything to do. You gain achievements by letting Milly do her thing and just decorate the island the way you want it to look. There are three distinct looks for the island but I couldn't help but wish there were a few more color options and to have mushrooms but not the classic red and white irked me, lol. Overall it was a cute little afternoon and worth it for the cheap price tag. If there were more updates for this i would come back for sure!
it is a pretty cute idler when you can pick it up on sale. Big downside though is that it is extremely short. I finished unlocking everything in 3 hours and then had to wait 2 more to unlock the last achievement. Wish it had a bit more items to unlock.
Cute nice relaxing lofi
I got this game for less than a dollar and I really can’t recommend it for more than that. Even then it’s arguably a scam. It’s cute and simple but that’s literally it. It’s purely a desktop companion that doesn’t do anything in particular and also lacks any sense of progression. For an idler it does even less than what you might expect from this genre. Even a game like Ropuka’s Idle Island had you spending currency on upgrades to increase the performance and efficiency of your character and the grass he had to cut. Milly, on the other hand, has done away with all of that completely. No stats, no progression, 100% purely cosmetic. The in-game currency are leaf coins and you earn them occasionally, but most importantly automatically. Even when Milly is resting and not doing anything you’ll still earn the coins. When she’s up and working you’ll earn the coins at the exact same rate as when she’s resting. Everything she does is superficial and purely visual. You’ll earn coins at a steady rate no matter what she does and eventually have the coins needed to buy a hat, an outfit, whatever is available. Speaking of which, the cosmetics of this game are extremely limited and honestly it’s kinda surprising how little there is. Milly alone gets 2 hats and 5 outfits. There’s a few pebble options, mushrooms, bushes, etc, but only a couple of each. Ultimately this means that there is nothing you can do to increase efficiency but you’ll also eventually gain everything in a handful of hours. There’s an achievement for playing for 5 hours and I guarantee you’ll unlock everything by then. Honestly it’s hard to even say it’s worth getting it for even a single dollar because there’s literally nothing to do or interact with. Something this simple should have had a ton of customization options from the trees to the grass to everything milly can wear, but there is absolutely nothing. Definitely don’t get this for full price.
It's hard for me to recommend this game, it's not specifically bad but you unlock things so fast, and there is not a whole lot to unlock -- I like it aesthetically over the game I *would* recommend, which is Ropuka's Idle Island It's essentially the same game but there is a better progression system in the recommended game -- that said if you just want to spend 5 hours and be done with a game this one could be that game? Things I like about this game over Ropuka's - I like the optional gardening and fishing - I personally prefer the character - The menu is simplistic, I might be stupid but Ropuka's took me a minute to navigate. But if we are going to compare I spent 188 hours in RII, and I believe I let it run a bit longer after I had found everything, this one I kinda just closed. Another thing I took issue with, but this will be a personal thing -- I prefer the starting chair over the wooden chair so it was a little disappointing to unlock something I liked less -- but those Pink trees and bushes were pleasing!
