Insanely cute and highly replayable, a lot more going on systems-wise than it may seem from the outside. Much more than just a collection of minigames! Would love to see more obscure PS1 games get this treatment

Extremely cute little minigame collection, not super challenging but a refreshing break from my normal style of game. Great work bringing one of Westone's forgotten classics to the west!

This game was gifted to me by my wonderful partner. I'm not entirely sure if I would have gotten around to playing it otherwise, or if I'd ever discover its existence. I love obscure games, I especially have a fondness for obscure Japanese-exclusive PS1 games. I am in my cozy game era, it seems, and this late 90s gem fits the criteria. I was delightfully surprised with how much I enjoyed it. I won't get too deep or long-winded, but Milano's Odd Job Collection kinda reminded me to romanticize life a little bit, similar to a Studio Ghibli film. I'd definitely recommend this game if you have 4 hrs to kill and just want something incredibly charming, nostalgic, and fun. Even though the basic gameplay loop is a bit repetitive, it's a cute life sim from the late 90s with a fun variety of mini games. The pixel art is endearing and just plain adorable; I was especially charmed by the variety of decor items and miscellaneous trinkets and gadgets you can buy with your hard-earned pril. The aesthetics of the goodies you can buy, and just the overall setting, has a very whimsical feel. Although it's apparently...like, implied to be a fantasy version of Italy???? The designs of the random creatures you can see and help around the little town of Zucchini look really unique.

Cute and fun, like a tamagotchi combined with a wario ware demo. Since there are only 8 mini-games to play and the entire thing lasts maybe three hours, I'd say wait until it goes on sale before you get it.

Even if is kinda simple, it was a great charming experience playing this obscure PS1 game. It feels great seeing that gems that never got localizated on their time, finally getting a second realize a bit more worldwide. Just imagining the number of old and not-so-old titles that could benefit from a translation and release on modern devices makes me happy. Bonito juego

It's a nice time management game that's super short. The whole time I was thinking: "My child will pray every night, and work hard to earn money." It was nice to be able to play this game in English to relive my childhood and actually understand what's happening. It was fun!

A cute little minigame collection with some added life sim elements. The minigames are a bit reminiscent of Bishi Bashi Special or Pokemon Stadium, with the main difference being that the games here are all single player. I'm not too sure how punishing they are on higher difficulties as I've yet to unlock them (more on that in a second) but in general they all feel fun and control well, with the Ranch, Burger Shop and Hospital being my favourites. Gameplay takes place over the course of 40 in-game days, with each day being a choice of main activity (do a job, decorate your house or just chill in the park!) and two evening activities back at home. These partly function to raise your stats (which allow you to pick different daytime jobs) but also are just a way to let you see some cute animations of Milano making some pancakes, feeding her cat, learning to play an instrument, etc. Speaking of, the pixel animation and art style in this game is absolutely gorgeous and is a wonderful example of the style from this era. My only real gripe with the gameplay is that minigame difficulty is tied to your "Skill" stat - that is, until you level your skill up, you are only able to select the easiest difficulty. While the other two stats, "Mood" and "Energy" are easy to level up from the start, Skill remained a mystery for me right through to end until I bought one of the desks from the catalogue which allows you to train it. This did make the minigames get repetitive far more quickly, and I really wish the game did signpost a bit more clearly how you are supposed to increase Skill. Lastly, I just want to mention the localisation and dubbing for this game, which is excellent. For an obscure Japan-only minigame collection from the 90's I never would have expected them to give it an English dub, and it really manages to fit the style of the era and sound similar to English anime dubs from the time. Original Japanese text and audio is also available (and can be mixed and matched if you want to play Subs not Dubs) so it's also possible to play what is essentially a straight port of the original Japanese release as well if you prefer. Overall, this is a very short but fun little collection and I'm very happy to see games like this being preserved and given a chance to reach a wider audience. It's fun, relaxing little game with a lot of heart, and I hope we see more niche games like this being brought to modern audiences.
