Fun game , good selection of main hero types for replay variety.
Might is Right is a deeply systems-driven tactical role-playing game that embraces old-school design principles and prioritizes strategic depth over spectacle. Developed and published by Lazy Kitty, the game places players in command of a small squad navigating a dangerous fantasy world where careful planning, character development, and tactical positioning matter far more than flashy presentation. From the very beginning, it makes clear that this is a game designed for players who enjoy thinking several steps ahead, experimenting with builds, and gradually mastering layered mechanics rather than being guided by cinematic storytelling or hand-holding tutorials. At the heart of Might is Right is its extensive character customization. You control a main hero alongside a growing roster of mercenaries, each with their own talent trees and stat progression. The sheer number of available talents encourages creative experimentation, allowing characters to evolve far beyond traditional class archetypes. A healer can be molded into a surprisingly durable frontline presence, while damage dealers can branch into utility or support roles depending on how talent points are invested. This flexibility gives the game a strong sense of player ownership, as every squad feels distinct based on the choices made during leveling rather than predefined roles. Exploration and progression unfold across a large overworld map filled with quests, encounters, and points of interest. Moving across the world feels deliberate and methodical, reinforcing the game’s strategic tone. Encounters transition into turn-based combat scenarios where positioning, turn order, and ability synergy are crucial. Battles are rarely about brute force alone; understanding enemy behavior, managing cooldowns, and choosing when to engage or retreat often determines success. Procedural variation in encounters helps prevent repetition, forcing players to adapt their strategies rather than relying on a single dominant tactic. Combat itself is where Might is Right truly shines for genre enthusiasts. Fights are structured around clear, readable mechanics that reward patience and foresight. Each turn carries weight, and poor positioning or wasted abilities can quickly spiral into defeat. The unlimited leveling system means that long-term campaigns feel rewarding, as characters continue to grow stronger and more specialized over time. Equipment further deepens this system, with a wide variety of weapons, armor sets, and consumables that meaningfully affect performance and synergy. Inventory management becomes a strategic consideration rather than a chore, as the right gear can dramatically shift a character’s effectiveness. Visually, the game opts for clarity and functionality over modern polish. The top-down perspective, grid-based combat, and straightforward animations echo classic tactical RPGs, making the game easy to read even during complex encounters. While the graphics are modest and unlikely to impress players seeking visual spectacle, they serve their purpose well by keeping attention focused on mechanics and decision-making. The interface presents a large amount of information, which can feel overwhelming at first, but it becomes increasingly intuitive as players grow familiar with the systems. The learning curve is one of the game’s more demanding aspects. Might is Right does not shy away from complexity, and new players may initially struggle with the breadth of options and the lack of extensive guidance. Understanding how different talents interact, which stats matter most for certain builds, and how to approach difficult encounters takes time and experimentation. Balance can occasionally feel uneven, especially in longer playthroughs, but these imperfections are often overshadowed by the satisfaction of overcoming challenges through thoughtful preparation and adaptation. Ultimately, Might is Right is a game that knows exactly who it is for. It is unapologetically focused on tactical depth, long-term progression, and player-driven strategy, offering a rich experience for fans of classic turn-based RPGs and squad-based combat. While it may not appeal to players seeking streamlined mechanics or narrative-driven adventures, it delivers a rewarding and substantial experience for those willing to engage with its systems. For players who enjoy carefully crafting a squad, refining builds over time, and winning battles through planning rather than reflexes, Might is Right stands as a solid and satisfying indie tactical RPG. Rating: 7/10
Definitely worth the money!
