Midori no Kaori

[h1]Why I love this game...[/h1] Midori no Kaori is a cozy, ambient idler that can either be minimally interactive or fully automated (my preferred). [b]Your goal is to design a little safe haven/cozy diner for cute amphibious-adjacent creatures that have passed on into the afterlife.[/b] As patrons come and go, you accumulate coins that are used to purchase shop decor and simultaneously level up which unlocks new shop items. [b]In a subtle way, it's a game about grief; about moving on. About reminiscing and gratitude and finding comfort in the little things.[/b] If you choose to click on the thought bubbles above patron's heads, you might read about a little snippet of their past life. Or perhaps, learn about the things that bring them comfort as they learn to move on. These little thoughts are meaningful and moving. However, know that you don't have to interact with these thought bubbles, and if you'd prefer to just focus on the cozy aesthetic without the little stories, that is an option too. What I love about this idler is how customizable it is: There's optional lo-fi music that's really lovely, ambient sounds of the diner that can be toggled off/on, lighting/time of day can be adjusted, and (of course!) the entire aesthetic and design of your little cafe is entirely yours to create from scratch. I also really appreciate the game/camera design, which features an incredibly aesthetic camera blur when you zoom in close to inspect your cafe. This makes for some really lovely, wallpaper-worthy screenshots! Most of all: [b]It's peaceful here.[/b] This is a game where you take your time, where things are unhurried and peaceful. It's been a nice little source of comfort. ◜ ͡-◝ ♡ ◜ ͡-◝ ♡ ◜ ͡-◝ ♡ ◜ ͡-◝ ♡ if i could give this a neutral rating i would. as other comments have already stated, there isn't much else to do besides purchasing furniture, decorating, waiting for more funds, then decorating some more.. the option to 'manage customers' is entirely optional and even then the gameplay only consists of clicking + dragging. (think diner dash!) the game is very beautiful, the music relaxing. it's the perfect setup for those are ONLY looking to decorate / create a visually appealing space. (i see you sims mod players) honestly, i would describe this 'game' as an idler. i would even suggest adding a pomodoro timer for people looking to have something relaxing running in the background while they focus on other tasks. overall, it just wasn't what i was expecting. ◟-͜ ◞ ♡ ◟-͜ ◞ ♡ ◟-͜ ◞ ♡ ◟-͜ ◞ ♡

As others have mentioned, there is extremely scant gameplay and what little there is is mostly automated away for an intentionally passive, decorative experience. You may as well just nod off watching others play. Same difference.

Definitely recommend its a very peaceful, beautiful and relaxing game. Legit was such an enjoyable experience though I do believe it may not be for everyone it can get repetitive but honestly I don't mind since I get distracted with trying to design the shop haha

I definitely recommend story mode for this game. The game is relaxing, but the story is beautifully told through the conversations that you have with the restaurant owner and the people that you serve. Other than the stories, it is so rewarding to see your small show blossom over time from a humble store to a large customer base. Initially, I was stressing over serving all of the customers and losing my ratings, and only after completing all of the tasks in the game, I realized that you could turn on the option to have everything done for you automatically.

bug一堆，纯纯被美术骗进来杀，我也算个经营游戏包容度极高份子了，还是难以忍受= = 氛围确实不错，但是你要花钱买，那就是纯纯大冤种 建造感受也是一大坨，吸附判定离谱，完整度也不够，不推荐

Too many bugs to enjoy the game.

Pure vibes. Basically, just a sim where you build and decorate a cozy restaurant and serve customers. I didn't think I would like how paired down it is, but it's perfect for killing time when you're on the phone or just want something easy and relaxing.

This game has a warm and safe feeling that I keep wanting to come back to
