Midnight Scenes: A Safe Place

My first entry into the Midnight Scenes series and I think one of my favorite installments. I can't wait to play the others, it's certainly worth full price. I got roped in immediately

truly harrowing, a level of disturbing psychological horror that really got to me

Amazing art and very atmospheric, with a great story. Explores mental health issues, some dark themes. Not too much puzzles and more story focused, but with this type of experience that's fine.

This game series is new to me, and this is my first one. I was not disappointed. The story is very engaging and makes you want to know what is going to happen. The graphics are good, it's a classic style and doesn't go overboard by droning on and on. They seem to be short games, like a good television episode. I liked it so much, I am going right now to buy the whole series. If you like point-and-click and stories, I highly recommend. There aren't a lot of puzzles to solve, but it is still very engaging.

Midnight Scenes: A Safe Place è un gioco piccolo ma veramente gradevole, e lo stesso mi sento di dire per tutti i giochi di questa raccolta. I giochi condividono tutti una struttura simile e sono dei punta e clicca thriller con atmosfera a tratti horror, dove tuttavia non sono quasi mai presenti enigmi, e anche in caso, di facile soluzione. Parlando nello specifico di questo capitolo, nonostante il breve minutaggio (circa 90 minuti nel mio caso), la componente narrativa è ben riuscita e il seguire degli eventi scorre e intrattiene con successo, portando il giocatore a voler sapere sempre di più di tutto ciò che accade a schermo. Gli episodi di Midnight Scenes non sono costruiti unicamente per dare qualche brivido, ma anche per, alle volte, concedere un piccolo spunto di riflessione su alcune realtà, come in questo capitolo. Assolutamente consigliato per passare un pomeriggio, o ancora meglio una serata, in compagnia di un ottimo e ben curato indie.
