Кайфовый симулятор дрифта в японии 90-ых, спокойно себе под музыку едешь боком и ни о чем не думаешь.
Game is alright, but hasn't had any updates in years and is still missing some key features, mostly wheel support.
very fun, great quality of tracks. wish it had wheel support and the input sensitivity is a bit high but 10/10 would recommend
If you want an Initial D-esque (in physics) arcade driving game, this is great. But given the state of multiplayer, I think there should be an AI or NPC race option (you could be able to select their vehicle or select that they get a random vehicle, per se). Also, I think that when you down shift, the car's wheel speed should change in order to accurately accompany that downshift, bringing you closer in to the turn. I feel like at least a few customization options should be in place; like color, body options, rims and tires, how low the car is, how cambered or toed the wheels are, maybe some custom headlights or taillights. Of course, there should be a way to save these changes into a simple save slot that can be accessed by a "load custom version of this car" side menu possibly. Another thing that could be added, though it would be a hassle, is a custom map maker. An interior camera would also be great, but I know that takes creating an accurate (as well as accurate to the art style) interior for each car. I would also love an Acura Integra-esque car (both USDM and JDM front ends), a Supra, and maybe a few other cars would be nice to add in for variety sake. Those are all my suggestions, but I think the game is pretty good for what it is. Fun to drive while listening to music.
While I understand this is a solo developer project, Midnight Driver is dead in all aspects & is not worth the price of admission. There are no other cars on track outside of an extinct multiplayer mode. You can only race against yourself in a time trial fashion but there are no ghost racers to represent your best time & track records aren't saved outside of active gameplay. You start with a Toyota AE86 that you must use on the downhill track to earn money, other iconic vehicles (under different names due to legality) & tracks are available to select but they have to be purchased first. That being said despite their appearance on the store page & in still images, the maps & vehicles feel indefinably empty & devoid of life during actual gameplay. The cars don’t react well to keyboard controls, the actual inputs are slapped into the options screen with no options to rebind them. The developer recommends the use of a controller before reaching the menu even though it’s oddly functional for menu navigation. The controller experience is better but not by much. In my time playing, drifting was a rarity due to the controls/responsiveness, the setting for manual or automatic transmission would return to default after each instance & checkpoints failed to register resulting in wasted time & an inability to end races.
The game needs a big optimization, but has good potential.
интересно и есть своя атмосфера, но управление с джойстика странное и поменять нельзя, на клавиатуре же играть в подобные игры как по мне вообще не приятно, так что играть не удобно и не приятно, от этого даже атмосфера не улучшает ситуацию
Yeah it is what it is
Abandoned, but they dropped the price. I think it's worth that much. It's got a nice atmosphere to it and the driving feels nice. Pretty simplistic, good when tired.
This bad game...
