Build a cozy little city on top of a brutally honest economy. Every citizen is simulated, one by one: they work, pay rent, get sick, go broke and turn to crime. Set taxes and policy, win elections, and survive a newspaper that blames you for everything.

About
Microlandia is a city builder that combines a cute, classic look with a deep socioeconomic simulation under the hood, modeled after real-world research and statistics.
Plan a city where people will live and work. Lay down roads and a bus network. Build housing, businesses and public works of many types, each with its own functions, upsides and tradeoffs.
All residents of your city are simulated one by one. No fake crowds, no statistical approximations. Each one holds a job at a real company, pays rent to a greedy landlord, and can get sick and need a hospital with real staffing and capacity. If they go broke and jobless for long enough, they consider a career in the criminal underworld. None of this is random: it is all side effects of your choices as mayor.
You set the rates for income, sales and corporate taxes. You can charge for business licenses, bus fares, parking and more. Raise them too high and the cost of living becomes unbearable. Lower them too far and you won't collect enough. Every decision matters and shapes your economy. And watch your approval rating: citizens vote, and you lose the game when they elect another mayor.
A newspaper covers everything that happens in your city. Crime reports with real addresses. Exact figures. Every story emerges from what's actually happening in your city, and you will be blamed for all the bad news. Every five years, a random incident tests your planning: heatwaves, recessions, droughts and more.
We're making the most advanced socioeconomic simulation in the history of city builders. That's why we model it on research and data from sources like the World Bank, the OECD and the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. The challenges you face exist in (and teach us about) real life. All the simulation's parameters and their sources are published on our website.
Every citizen, household and company is simulated one by one. No fake crowds, no statistical approximations.
Set income, sales and corporate taxes, plus fees and licenses, then live with the economy you create.
Win or lose elections: your approval rating is the only win condition.
A newspaper that covers your city and pins the bad news on you.
Random incidents that test your plans: heatwaves, recessions, droughts and more.
The game is under active development and we have ambitious plans for years to come. There will never be DLC or a Microlandia 2. We'll keep updating and improving the base game. And there will never be in-game purchases either, because we think they're the worst invention since pineapple on pizza.
Wishlist Microlandia and follow us on Steam to hear about every update.

Still miss few features but i must admit game as city sim has potential im waiting for future updates and progress
excellent foundation, hope to see more content soon
game nya sangat bagus tetapi ketika aku memainkan nya, tetapi sayangnya game nya memiliki bug di bagian jalan, setiap aku membangun sebuah tikungan aspal tikungan selalu hilang.. tolong di perbaiki
This game is good and is getting constant updates. I do recommend this game it is very good. Only issue is that when your city begins to become large simulation speed drops and lags, sometimes it can take 10 seconds for a building to be placed down. Other than that highly reccommend.
10/10 Game
Nice game I think there is much potenial to this game, i think also that more content is needed. Buy only if you like these types of games and you can always refund it if you dont like it.
fun and addictive although I hope they add more buildings and indepth features in the bank, as well as maybe allowing the mayor to allocate budgets to services.
Fantastically immersive game with frequent updates and great graphics. I lose myself for hours playing this, trying to figure out how to grow my city and keep residents. My only gripe is that I can't always see graph data, but that's probably just a bug that can be sorted easily.
If you're a fan of SC2k and wanted something you can play on modern machines, this is the one you want. The sound track hits just right, the graphics are the perfect balance of retro and modern, I'm surprised games like this are still made. 8.99 at the time of writing, money well spent. If you're on the fence, just do it, it's great.
