The controls are changeable, The game is long and fun and the levels are interesting. There is a hard mode after beating world 4. Inside the roms folder there are the roms for micro mages and micro ages second quest, It has been a blast beating both, I really enjoyed the games.

Great little game with loads of charm. Multiplayer is a lot of fun to play with friends and keeps it interesting. Finding the little secret items also adds replay value and that extra challenge to 100% the game. Still haven't beaten yet on hard, but will soon.

This is an amazing game! It’s super replay-able because the mechanics are refreshing and polished. It’s also fun to play with friends. The levels are super well made and the soundtrack is crazy good (even not considering it is an NES game). Honestly, most NES games are only good when given a grain of salt for their limitations they had to go around when they were made. This game, is straight up excellent and even though it had limitations (the YouTube documentary about this game explains more of thet) they don’t feel like limitations. The game design is like actually an 11/10 on this game. I would highly recommend this game.

I really love how smoothly the character moves; it’s a truly delightful feeling. The music is fantastic! If this game had been released for the NES in the early 90s or late 80s, I’m sure it would have been a bestseller, known to everyone just like Mega Man and Mario.

Great fun with friends, and while it can run on an NES (which is impressive) the game design and feel greatly benefit from the years of the medium's growth. The game is tough but it's not janky or frustrating, and we felt really incentivized to try out the hard mode and truly beat the game, something that I can't say for other NES games with second playthrough options. Take this with a grain of salt if you're planning to play this solo. I always played with at least one friend and later as a full party of four to beat hard mode and rescue [i]princess[/i].
