Mia and the Dragon Princess

An unusual story: there are many fights, but there is also a place for goodness and love. I like stealth more, but it seems impossible here :D There will still be a lot of fighting haha so you'll have to get used to it. Mia is a nice girl. i like how the actors play. i like the idea of the game. i like this combination of the past time and the new. i like this animated scene, in the form of a comic book. 9\10

I got this a while ago on a "complete my FMV collection" shopping tour and just recently played it for the first time - going in blind. I did not expect this *banger* of an adventure movie! What a ride! If you're into FMVs, gameplay wise it's a quality title. Skip before seen scenes, get a good story tree for multiple playthroughs, nice extra added with the "in character audio tours" of one of the characters etc. It's a Wales Interactive title, you know the gist. What you might not know is that this story goes completely off the rails and I love it for this. It's a fantasy adventure and if you're here to have a good time, you'll find it. There's multiple endings which are *so* different, different locations you end up in and the fight scenes are great fun. I did not expect the amount of shocking outcomes, we're talking missing body parts here. This title gets bloody (without being too gory) in the most unexpected ways. Plan multiple playthroughs. There is a path you can get that practically skips the whole second third of the story and we got that one first, so that was confusing as heck. There are some minor issues with unexpected outcomes (like Collins surviving a 100% fatal injury that one path), but they're not really a problem or distracting from the overall fun. In short, the actors are great, the characters are a colorful cast of lovely dorks, the fight scenes are great and the story gets so completely bonkers on some routes, I'd recommend this for any FMV fan who enjoys some wacky pirate adventures with awesome action scenes.

Getting the different endings requires a lot of patience.

High praise from critics? + Game & Movie at the same time? + Girl in the lead roles? + it's unusual, fresh, intriguing and some of the fight moments had me closing my eyes. that fact aside, I like the rest of the dialog. there's kindness and some cute moments ^^

Can recommend. It is rather goofy and weird, but I still enjoyed it fair amount. I was pleasantly surprised by cast, since it has Paul McGann and MyAnna Buring. The only complaint I have is how the scenes are cut into segments (or more specifically not cut), which results in a lot of repetition on replay. This seems to be a quite common issue, or at least I've seen it in other Wales Entertaniment games, so it might have something to do with either their production or with the engine they're using.

The more things changed, the more things stayed the same. If you're going to film a different pathway, why not actually film a different pathway? This is an average Wales Interactive FMV outing, not good, not bad. Weirdly glitchy, though. The action and ambition were nice but it feels held back a bit by the limitations of the budget. (NOTE: There were a couple "events" in the story tree ;including endings that I did not see, but I doubt it would change much, did not try the audio tour either, but got all achievements.)

The structure is genuinely baffling. Scenes loop back on themselves with no connective tissue, no context, no payoff.
