Heavy metal might be immortal, but you're not. In Metavoidal, you play as a drummer as they attempt to escape the clutches of a threatening metal band by using off-beat techniques to defeat each band member... Or die trying!
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

But don’t be fooled by the drumsticks! This is not a rhythm game, and the drummer is always replaceable in this band…
Battle of the BossesNo one likes being rejected, and it seems like this motley crew of musicians like you even less. At the end of each level, the metal band that underestimated your skills will fight you in a blistering solo battle.
You must defeat every one of them to earn your freedom. Each member has unique and over-the-top abilities with their own fighting style. Fight a physical duel using your drumsticks against the keyboardist, the strings section, and the rest of the band! It's every drummer's dream to have a Battle of the Band!
This economy runs on guitar picks and exposure,
Your only companion in this hellscape is BingBong, a seemingly friendly voidling, who helps you along your quest by advancing your drumming skills… for a price. His booth at the end of each level is open to trade in guitar picks for something a bit more useful on a run or to put some pep back into your step.
Back in the Santuary, each new drummer can use the EXP (or Exposure) acquired by their recently fallen band mate to gain more perks for their upcoming escape attempt. So that they might succeed where the previous drummers did not, or at least pave the way for the next one in line.
Metavoidal features 16 original songs, 72 variations, and over 60 dedicated drum tracks, split across 4 elemental albums: Fire, Lightning, Oil, and Holy - all composed exclusively for the game. Every riff, solo, and breakdown is designed to fuel the chaos, shifting dynamically based on your choices and performance.
Your playlist isn’t just for show, the music you collect during a run changes what you hear in battle. Pick fire and lightning, or oil and holy, and the soundtrack will change to match your corrupted powers.
From blistering boss themes to ominous ambient build-ups, the music is as much a weapon as your drumsticks. It hits just as hard!

Reviews
遊戲做得不錯,但有個設計可能要改一下: 有些怪物的攻擊是沒有前判的,出現的當下就會馬上攻擊你,已到了新房間的視覺死角,馬上就被扣血
Tiss fun

This game is intensely fun! If you like fast paced game play, simple yet expansive mechanics and bubble gum, this game is for you! This is a game I can see myself playing for years to come.
Nice art & music
Metavoidal is a pretty simple roguelite about being a drummer using the powers of metal to slay various corrupted band members in this cathedral of horror. The gameplay has you collecting different moves in the forms of percussion hit styles in order to augment your moveset to your playstyle, such as doing simple downstrokes or flams or tossing cymbals. You also further augment your moveset by picking up records, which depending on the record they're from can give your abilities various effects like fire, shock, slows/stuns, and bonus projectiles. What's pretty cool about this last bit is that the soundtrack actually changes depending on what albums you select, and the soundtrack also accounts for combinations of different albums. The soundtrack is pretty solid, all non-vocal (besides one special track) but the guitars and drum elements that they have going on are really well-done. The game itself is pretty short and simple, I beat the final boss in a little under 8 hours and only around a couple dozen attempts. I think my biggest issues with Metavoidal are the difficulty curves it has. The early game is pretty brutal as you don't have access to almost any good damage, meaning every encounter takes quite a while. By the time you get to the mid-game, you have access to some damage and augments, but there's a surprising amount of enemy damage that deals multiple "hits" to your health in an instant even though the I-frames on being hit would make you think that you could only get hit once every 2 seconds. This leads to a lot of runs ended abruptly due to something exploding on you, or several ranged projectiles homing on you through the pixel clutter. By end-game, you've potentially unlocked the perks that increase item drop chance from enemies, meaning enemies constantly drop health and now you can just face-roll through encounters. Then you get to the final boss, which is such a dramatic change in pacing from the previous bosses you've encountered that it's pretty jarring and kinda ruins the tempo of the run. Difficulty and pacing gripes aside, Metavoidal is still pretty fun, and I recommend giving it a shot if you're a fan of metal and/or roguelites and are looking for a pretty simple premise in a game.
Immersive experience when the soundtrack gets going. The theme is sold very well.

Great game! I love the beautiful pixel art animations and the OST is amazing. Really fun once you get over the fact that you have to die to progress.
