Metavaxx

An enjoyable game with minesweeper mechanisms, but you should only play this one if you enjoy twin stick shooters and don't mind a bit of random chance. The clues link you to which cells are infected, and which ones aren't, and if you open a cell that's infected, you have to fight. There's three catches, though. 1) Early game, you can level up faster by opening every *infected* cell and leaving as many uninfected cells as possible. 2) There can be a lot of points where 50/50 guesses are required. 3) Because cells can surround other cells, it's possible to have a healthy cell entirely surrounded by an infected cell, such that you cannot finish the level without opening that cell and starting a fight. As long as you throw your hands up, acknowledge that puzzle skill alone will not save you, and give yourself over to the experience, this is a quite enjoyable game. But you can't take it too seriously, or you will get frustrated.

This is a nice minesweeper-shmup blend. It's nice that this game can support multiple strategies of approaching the development of the vaccine and the starting research company can boost them. I think there are blends of a roguelike genre here too. I'm seeing complaints about not being able to flag cells by default, but I think it's not too serious, considering the amount of cells is in the double-digits for each sample, probably.
