Metania is an Indie horror in Early Access (EA) that is in extremely poor shape. I was unable to finish the game due to a game breaking bug of endless death loops that corrupted my save file, completely stopping me from continuing. This could be easily patched in future updates, however almost everything about the game seems beyond repair. I could blatantly walk up to the "enemy" and not get injured. Spelling errors are on every note. There is no collision on anything and I could walk through almost every object. Interacting with doors or objects was far more difficult than it should be. Items disappear from inventory and the physics of the game is just illogical. Despite trying to get to the end of the game, I was ultimately denied the chance and restarts did not amend the issue. Whilst it saddens me to be so negative, I cannot recommend Metania at any cost.
A Horror that will Tremble you

Metania has a lot of Thrill Elements, Monsters, horror SFX, and Voices that haunt you from the Past which give you a totally new Psychologically Horror Experience. Embark on this journey as John, progress through the game, and use your environment smartly as you interact with multiple things.
Can't Live Without Brightness Option Lol
The Game has no option to set brightness - the options that i tweak in every horror games lol - my personal preference, it is understandable when the protagonist survives the game with light sources (lantern, torch, etc). However, fuel and battery is the main concern. Try your best to utilize it well, speedrun it, or else become the food of Monster in darkness.
Portable Save Option saved your Life
The Most Amazing Feature, when the challenge is difficult, can help you a ton, to repeat the same sequences, and get out of the area smartly and efficiently with little time consumption and less resource usage.
Awesome Storyline and Environment
The story is put really well, Game is smooth around every corner, with realistic flying particles, and other stuff.
Intensifying Jumpscare
First Jumpscare really took me off, even after dying and repeating it multiple times.
Game with Health Indication
The game has lots of food sources, that you often get from interacting with Drawers. Monsters drain your health and food replenishes it. This is a unique thing, you don't die from 1 Hit, and you can hide and take advantage of food when Low HP.
The game looks AAA Title
But believe me, it's developed from Sole Genius Developer. For Horror Fans - I will definately recommend you this game, play it and support the developer.
It's impressive how this game doesn't crash even without a video card. I couldn't make much progress in the game due to my own pc being very old but from what I could see the game has several quality options to be able to run even if the pc is made of potato. I recommend testing it, you might like it.
Great game, awsome creepy horror vibe. Challenging puzzles intresting story. Impressive work from a solo dev!
Though it's clear the game still needs some refining, the foundation is undeniably promising, presenting a unique and engaging twist to the genre that keeps you on your toes. The level of detail that goes into handling the physics of the game is truly exceptional, making for some creative puzzle-solving. This is all further enriched by the integration of light interactions - flickering lights, shadows, and all - adding an element of realism that heightens the suspense. Interacting with various objects, doors, and furniture offers an added depth to gameplay. It draws you into its chilling narrative, making you a part of the horror that unfolds around you. This connection, coupled with the game's masterfully crafted, eerie sound design, allows for a degree of immersion that's not commonly found in the genre. While Metania is still in its early stages, and does show some rough edges, it possesses a distinct charm that's hard to dismiss. Certain physics interactions could use more polish, and the object interactions sometimes feel a bit clunky, but these are areas i think the developers are addressing. From what we've experienced thus far, Metania is a game worth playing The atmospheric tension, combined with engaging physics-based puzzles, marks a bold step in a new direction for psychological horror. It's a challenging and immersive game that has a lot of potential, and we're eager to see how it will evolve in its final stages. Despite the need for a bit of work, it's safe to say Metania is an exciting addition to the indie horror scene. It dares to try something new, and we can't wait to dive deeper into its unsettling world once the final touches are in place. Here's to a promising start!
