༺♡༻ The cleansing of the temple from evil forces and desecration was successful ༺♡༻
Dark Souls clone. Basic gameplay - dash and only weak or strong attack is available. Very buggy gameplay - fell off the map a few times (once when fighting with boss). General idea and setting is ok. Explorer abandoned desert city and catacombs looking for trouble. Guards have been turned into glass and corrupted began to reign the place. Music is good. What else? Skip if you're looking for something more interesting.
Metamorphos is a student project from Digipen, who seem insistent on publishing everything their students do, which would be okay but they also publish the stuff from the students who fail the course. In this case I think the kids passed, but Digipen needs to do better in terms of the instruction and ethics they provide to the students. This is a consolesque third person brawler where you can "teleport" around instead of jumping, and beat up shadowy enemies. It's not long, or complicated, but it does work well enough as a game (something that can't be said for every student project from Digipen). There's some problems though, hopefully the students will take those into account before they get a job in the industry: PC gamers will be insulted by the demand from the developer that a console peasant children's toy controller should be used, despite this being on PC. Developers should try to be aware which platform they're developing for, and must never, under any circumstances dictate to gamers how their games are to be experienced. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement. This agreement includes questionable (and possibly law breaching) privacy requirements that no gamer should ever have to engage in. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. So, should you download this game? Well, "maybe". And "maybe" is what I'd choose if I had the option. But I think this one scrapes through to a positive just because it's playable enough and you can't argue with the price. The game is completely free, as it's a non-professionally developed student project. It's difficult to say it's appropriate for colleges and schools to publish every bit of work their students produce (whether the students pass the course or not), because this is of questionable value for the most important people in the gaming industry - the gamers. Regardless in many ways, even if this is a student project, it's better than much of the pollution on Steam (asset flips and other shovelware/cash grabs). I'm giving this a cautious thumbs up because it's free, the quality is, I guess, "adequate", and compared with most other free games (and thousands of the paid ones), this isn't a complete waste of time. I certainly understand if gamers want to give this a miss due to the small number of defects (and the rather toxic EULA).
sinceramente me pase este juego por tener 1 platino y ojala haber fallecido en el parto de mi madre para ni siquiera probarlo
janky controls ,
souls-like küçük bütçeli bir öğrenci yapımı oyun.
Pathetic excuse of a souls-like. Especially last boss, you have zero dodge mechanic except for a sandy teleport crap that takes a large chunk of your energy including your normal attacks. 99% of the time you find yourself running from the final boss and trying to hit a single soft blow or so, took me 20 minutes to take him down. Extremely clunky controls, unoptimized mess. I have a chinese modified 3080 with 24 gb vram and a 5800x3d and 64 GB system memory. I also have a rx 6400 that does lossless scaling frame gen. The game has a large input delay itself and when I turned ultra I could barely get 35 fps on highest settings on my 2k monitor, same PC can do 45ish fps with path tracing enabled cyberpunk. Think about it how horrible it is.. Anyway I found a semi comfortable spot to render 80 fps and did x2 LSFG frame gen with my other gpu to get 160 on my monitor and oh boy the input delay became unbearable. I finished it without lsfg and on 60 fps settings but oh boy was it a traumatic experience... This is a pinnacle example of what an unoptimized messy game is. My poor 3080 was on 90ish percent all the time and even my cpu was around fifties, meaning they probably have quintillion of unoptimized triangles everywhere. Please teach your students game optimization, the topic is too important to skip. Optimization is what makes or breaks games. Precisely why everyone hates borderlands 4 and many other UE5, it is not engine's fault, it is developers' fault who doesn't bake lights/doesn't pre-calculate and cache vulkan/dx12 shaders through sdk/api and have everything done real-time or leave googleplex amount of triangles fcken around. I guess I would barely get 10 fps if I had a 4k monitor lmao and most importantly this was served with Unity lol. How could you made such an unoptimized mess available from such a great engine is beyond me. I am sorry but you should do better. This actually had a promising art which is why I feel bad about criticizing but it is what it is. Good luck.
Foi uma experiência bem divertida pra passar o tempo. O último chefe foi muito bom e, considerando que o jogo foi feito por um grupo de estudantes, o resultado ficou impressionante. Curti bastante a proposta e dá pra ver o carinho colocado no projeto.
