Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 55/day in the week to Aug 28 → 71.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

【STORY】
THE ILLUSION OF PEACE FALTERS
In 1964, after saving the world from all-out nuclear war, Naked Snake, a true hero, receives the name Big Boss, but he disappears shortly after the naming ceremony.
Ten years later, Big Boss is running an independent military unit in Columbia, when he is visited by two individuals from Costa Rica, a country without a military.
In a post-Cuban Missile Crisis world, and in a Central America essential to maintaining the power balance between East and West, Costa Rica has been miraculously able to maintain peace.
However, a mysterious armed group has been seen acting suspiciously throughout the region.
They request Big Boss to investigate and eliminate the armed group.
Though he hesitates to accept the request because the tape they brought contained the voice of The Boss, who was supposed to be dead.

Keyboard and mouse input is completely broken. If you shake your mouse even slightly and the aim start to begin drifting randomly, if you shake the mouse violently for a second then it'll drift around for a solid 10–15 seconds like the game is trying (and failing) to emulate a joystick. It’s straight up unplayable with keyboard and mouse. The keyboard works fine initially, but while the mouse input is spazzing out the keyboard inputs also stops working and snake will start moving in random directions.
Snake, you're not gonna believe this, but... Zadornov's missing again.

ngl I have 2000 hours in MGS:PW on my PSP because my 7-12 year old ass didn't know why my parents where divorcing. peak. just as good as I remembered it. flood of emotions playing this game. thank you kojima for resting your hand on my weary white boy head and blessing me with metal gear autism
I originally finished this game through the HD Collection on console. At the time, it was a welcome inclusion of an impressive PSP game with a very important story in the Metal Gear Solid series. Sadly on PC more than a decade and a half after that release, this is a pretty lazy port of what has become a very dated title. It's a shame because the story is really good to this day and vital to the entire series as it provides extensive lore after the events of Metal Gear Solid 3 and Big Boss. The cutscenes are mostly told through 2D motion art scenes due to the original limitations of the PSP but the writing really adds so much to each scene as does the detail of the drawings. Rather than being an open-ended experience, the games structure is standalone missions and these typically last 3-10 minutes. The gameplay is extremely familiar but is incredibly shallow by today's standards. Most cutscenes are actually longer than the missions themselves. This aspect has aged terribly and the controls feel exceptionally poor. This is a title that warrants a remaster the most - the story is in place and the extensive dialogue is all there. Reframing the mission structure and creating full cutscenes would really bring this game into the mainstream. It's just not fun enough to play these days especially compared to the mainline titles.
I'm a huge MGS fan, I was really excited to finally get to play peace walker. However, 50 bucks for a game that doesn't work? Spent over an hour replaying the chico rescue mission, troubleshooting the black screen crash that occurs during the cut scene. Downloaded and launched with Proton 11-3 along with standard graphics, and made it through the first cut scene only for the game to crash on the second. So the question remains why are we the consumer left with finding fixes for this half-assed port. Will be requesting a refund.
Written and Directed by Hideo Kojima.
Playing this with mouse and keyboard is off. Aiming is very slippery and unresponsive. I was looking forward to playing this game but not if I can't move and aim properly
