Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 102.43/day in the week to Aug 28 → 237.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

amazing game but it still fails to be top 3 metal gear games, just to show a masterpiece like this is still 4th best in the franchise. i love its story and how miserable snake has become due to his fast ageing and how everyone treats him like some old guy despite he is the only person that can carry out this mission. i love this game and personally its my top 2 metal gear game but without being biased its 4th, MGS2 takes first place. followed up by MGS3/DELTA which is my favourite, then is MGS such a classic and still holds up well till this day and always fun to go back to. then its MGS4 and at last is MGSV, great game but story lacks compared to 4 but gameplay and sandbox its the best in the franchise. back on topic, the bosses are meh except ocelot. metal gear rey, laughing octopus and screaming mantis, raging raven is alright but crying wolve is a massive pain the back side and vamp isnt bad but the guarding raiden while they fight is extremely annoying. music in this game really brings out the sad gloomy life snakes currently living as love theme and old snake are tunes and really help bring the fact snake is rotting the last few months of his life fighting a battle he has fought his entire life, which is ironic as he parades others to live theirs. the ending to this game is done amazingly and to see him finally live his life is great. i couldnt recommend this game anymore as its my 2nd time beating this game and cant wait to replay it again in the future. but now onto peace walker!

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I’m a huge fan of MGS4, and I’m incredibly glad that we finally have an official PC version! It feels great knowing that I no longer have to rely on emulation just to experience this amazing game again. Having Metal Gear Solid 4 officially available on PC is something I’ve been waiting for for a long time, and I couldn’t be happier!
Runs very well!
Peak ending to a nearly perfect story.
Finally I can play the one MGS I never got to play and the one they said was impossible to port. It runs fantastically given the whole claims of it being unportable.
Great port, mostly. Some hitches here and there, screen res doesn't cover all ranges.. But overall runs fine. Use DX12. Enjoyed the story and the cutscenes were great, gameplay was decent, no complaints. Glad to see it finally ported to PC and modern consoles.
it's as good as I remembered
I grew up playing the Metal Gear Solid Pack DLC from LittleBigPlanet so it was fulfilling to finally play Metal Gear Solid 4 (and to experience the 1+ hour cutscene at the end). The PC Port is really well done, the controls on a gamepad are phenomenal and I was surprised it even worked so well with the Switch 2 Pro Controller's HD Rumble on the PC version I was playing it with. Normally I struggle with the stick sensitivity for walking vs running in games, but I had no issues with that here. Overall, "You're pretty good."
