Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Metal Gear: Short, Sweet, and Simple. Once you learn the stealth, its fun to sneak through the gaps in the soldiers and strategize on each screen (remember this for MG2SS). Story had a cool twist. The enemies and general gameplay were fairly diverse for a game from 1987. It's a fun, short game to play in an afternoon. Additionally, I quite enjoyed this Metal Gear fight (compared to MG2SS). It required both strategy and movement unlike any boss in the first game and can be comparable to bosses from the second. Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake: First of all, many QoL improvements. The red, blue, and green cards are great. Healing after a boss fight, thank you very much. The crawling feature is a really nice addition too and can be utilized creatively. The story is much more at the forefront and is told well with plenty of character development (albeit with some cringy dialogue at times, thank you Kojima). However, while you do get used to the radar system, I spend all my time staring at it which is not fun gameplay-wise. It makes the stealth much more boring because you are just staring at it waiting for timings on the next screen. The threat level thing was kind of stupid too because if set off, I just hid in a truck and killed the guys coming in until it went away. In addition, the amount of backtracking and trips between the Zanzibar and Tower building are a bit infuriating, but i guess it increases play time for a game from 1990. Boss fights were all really cool and creative even if many could be killed easily with gimmicks. Yet, they force you to use your whole arsenal of weapons. However, the Metal Gear fight in this game was far worse than the original. Mindless and slow. Not bad to play through once for the story though.
