Merri Puzzle is yet another construction kit template copy+paste from serial shovelware pushers, SA Industry. These guys do nothing but copy premade game templates and game tutorials, or just get a hold of entire asset packs or abandoned source code from other people's games, fill out a few things/stamp out basic levels using the construction kit templates, slap on an asset flipped set of sprites/assets, and dump them on Steam and into cheap nasty shovelware game bundles as cash grabs. Trying to get paid for someone else's game templates, assets... at best, this is shovelware, at worst, it's a scam/cash grab. I'm going with the latter for this one, it's a basic mobile app/Flash style physics puzzle where you get to place blocks on the level screen to guide the ball to the target. Usually these are done by letting you draw lines on your iPhone screen to form barriers, but this spin on the same old refrain doesn't make it better at all... this doesn't come across as a serious PC game and considering it's from SA Industry, known review manipulators and asset flip scammers, gamers must rightfully be wary. Merriman Games/SA Industry have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"Kingdom Defense" = Tower Defense Basic Pixel Art Pack developed by FreeThePlayerOnGame
"Falling Words" = 2D Typing Game developed by Steelkrill Studio
"Drive For Your Life" = Zombie Drive - Full Game Template developed by Puppeteer
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The game features somewhat lazy, simplistic "retro" looking 2D graphics, of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just iPhone screen tapping stuff. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here. This is indistinguishable from a mobile app, but they put this on Steam instead of the app stores by mistake. Was it rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all)?. Regardless, for all intents and purposes Merri Puzzle might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 13 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 130,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 130,000+ games on Steam? Merri Puzzle has the laughable price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the unethical nature of the developer. For comparison, the $5 asking price for this game could get you games like "Battlefield V", "Hellblade: Sensua's Sacrifice" or "The Forest". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.
🚮 Shovelware

❗ALERTA: SHOVELWARE
Ok, what happens when you drop a ball from some height? Does it a) bounce or b) lay perfectly still? If you said b, you're probably a space alien. Also, you would be right about this game. Merri Puzzle is a physics-based puzzle game that has ♥♥♥♥ physics. It's also terribly slow, poorly designed and doesn't save your progress.
Нет.

Puzzle
Merri Puzzle es un juego de resolución de rompecabezas basado en la física, con un aspecto único. El objetivo es simple, conseguir un objeto, a menudo una pelota hasta el final de un laberinto.
I have got this game for free and played it only because I am an achievement hunter. This game is bugged, half the levels can be done by bugging the ball into a wall and achievements pop up instantly (you don't actually need to do them), which is pretty sad :(
