character models are kinda weird but damn it's fun
one of the most fun fighting games ive ever played with tons of unique style. pop cancels are so hype. let's help this game grow bigger!
This game is great! Sizeable roster of cool characters and the core game mechanics are super fun to play with. There's lots of freedom in how you use the pop-cancels, whether to approach, apply pressure, extend combos, or mix your opponent up. Also has good netcode and lots of tutorials and story content! Pretty dang good package.

Definitely one of the better fighting games I have played. Combos feel more natural than what I would find in other games, and the decision to give each character not one, but TWO character defining unique moves makes each character interesting. Pop Cancelling is a great mechanic, even if I have not mastered it; for now, I use it to make most moves safe and as a guard cancel to swing back from my opponent's pressure. Would recommend to fans of games such as Street Fighter or King of Fighters.
needs a lot of polish in everything other than the gameplay. as janky as the animations can look it plays nice and smooth in the hands and has a good amount of sauce. huge potential here
Really neat mechanics, and the story mode is awesome!
i glaze this game at locals but don't play it enough!
I've been aware of Mattrified Games for a while, and liked what I played of Battle High 2+. This game could be considered an evolution of his previous efforts. This game's setting and roster fulfills a fantasy not represented in most other fighting games: aquatic people. And those characters are very unique and based on various seas creatures. The 3d models are a little basic, but with the outfits and fish features they make up for it. There are both decent single player offerings -- trials and multiple paths of story mode -- and online offerings -- strong netcode. Obviously there's offline versus too. You can unlock many cool costumes and colors in the single player modes, although some alternate costumes are already offered. It easy blows many AAA fighting game releases out of the water.
This game is really fun. It's like a mashup of the best stuff from several fighting games, rolled into a clever aquatic theme with totally original characters and plenty of humor. You like 2d fighters? Buy this thing.
It's an underrated but super solid indie fighting game, 4btn (lk,hk,lp,hp) with a gauge for activating "ex" moves and a pop cancel mechanism that allows cancelling out of most attacks including normals and even air dashing. The gauges management is pretty strict though so the gameplay is not super fast, but still on the fast side. It plays a bit like SF6 I'd say and every character seems pretty unique. There are combo trials, practice mode is solid, arcade mode, vs cpu (AI's not the best though) and ofc online play. Definitely grab it if you're a fighting game fan!
