Memory Quickie

TLDR: for the price, if you like memory games, play this one. It's both good and free. Totally recommended. Ok, now you know memory games. There's not much to say about them. But this one has surprised me with a few nice details. Graphically, it's not otherwordly, but the set of pictures is nice, the style is coherent, and no problem distinguishing one from another. I wish the charts were made on another more nice font, with antialiasing. I'd like to remark that the music is indeed relaxing and unobstrusive. It's quite nice, it's only one song but it doesn't need more; and it's a good choice for the background. You can disable separately sound effects and music. And gameplay-wise, you have what you can expect. A memory game. Tiles to click, remember, and remove pairs. But you fight against the clock, and against the number of flips needed to complete the board. The point system is nice because there's a global rank. The main screen shows the three difficulties and the top scores for each of them; I'd wish I could see what rank I achieved at the bottom, like "#7241 1714 JMM72" and know I'm just there in the middle. And with global rankings and the few but significant achievements, you want to play this again until reaching at least the achievements, and then maybe personal goals. Remember that to get a high score in a memory game the RNG gods must be with you; but you also need to be quick, precise, and experienced. Specially in the highest difficulty setting. Too many words for a simple puzzle memory game? Well this game is little, but it's a little bright gem, I think it deserves them. Totally recommended.
