Inspired by RuneScape, Melvor Idle takes the core of what makes an adventure game so addictive and strips it down to its purest form! This is a feature-rich, idle/incremental game combining a distinctly familiar feel with a fresh gameplay experience. Maxing 20+ skills has never been more zen.

Sometimes you randomly lose progress. No excuse for such a detrimental bug to be in the game

One of the best idle games I've played yet. Basically a runescape account management simulator, which is kind of a perfect idea for an idle game as runescape itself was a very chill cozy skill grinding game for the most part.
RuneScape developers were like "Why do people bot, they aren't even playing the game, do they only wanna see number go up?" and then they made number go up while you second screen The Game.
I have an additional 200-300 hours from Epic Games store's version (basegame/full game), the mobile version, and the dlc. I got it for free during a free epic games thursday. It got me through when my cat was very old and sick, and then recovering from the grief of losing her. If you like idle games- This is THE idle game. Look no further, purchase now. From setting timers for how long to mine ore and then set it to smelt, to actively playing during combat or rune crafting... Or just playing manually because you're extra and you know it, eventually it's 3am and oh my goodness I have to get up at 8 what have I done?! The mining, smelting, and combat intergration is really where Melvor Idle shines, thought. I am STILL working on my main save and haven't done everything yet, there's so much. And so much connects to one another. Idle games are not normally complex, but this one? Yeah, you might want to open the wiki... Thankfully, there's a fancy little button in game to take you to the very specific item on the wiki you need, just click. Words cannot explain how much I love Melvor Idle. Sometimes I need to leave it uninstalled so it won't consume my life again. I made myself checklists for the township tasks for various save files. It's not just about the times this game was there for me when I was having a tough time, but for all the little boring moments that didn't need to be boring. Having something to come back to when you're too tired for a creative project. It can re-ignite that spark for life. Of course others might not like idle games like I do, so thankfully there's also a demo on android and IOS if you want to try before you buy. Side note- ran on every laptop and pc, tablet I have owned... Thank you for being potato spec compatible. I would often babysit animals as a teenager and I still do from time to time, and I can take the laptop with me so I'm not just watching them nap when they lay down. Said laptop is slightly better than a literal potato. :D
I've had this on in the background for months now and it's honestly just really fun to alt-tab into it, see how my skills are going, watch the number go up, pray to the RNG gods. Probably one of the most polished idle+incremental games I've played and would strongly recommend.
