It´s awesome. It has a dedicated community, so you can learn it from videos and stuff, but as an old game it doesn´t have a lot of modern features like combo trials, tutorials and stuff. Get it and check the community version to find people to play with.

Not even gonna lie this game is mind-numbingly boring. This isn't even a jab at the catastrophic port of this game, more so the game itself. Every additional second I spent playing online against someone on CCCaster I thought to myself that I'd rather be playing literally any other fg. Contrary to what the usual discourse about this game is about, I think the designs are not the problem at all. The character designs and personalities are awesome and that's why I'd rather just go read the vn instead. It feels like every combo ever ends in BCBC throw which gets old really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fast and just makes it feel like there is zero variety. Defending in this game is also genuinely a potential cure for chronic insomnia because of the ludicrous offense some characters can apply with the help of reverse beats. Tried so hard to like this game one last time by playing full moon Warachia before realizing he's just I-No but less cool and going back to gg. I just can't enjoy the french bread games for some reason.
