But why are so many either in Russian or ChatGPT? I am sure this is just perfectly organic adoration for a crappy asset flip with no real gameplay. It's just a bunch of Unity assets on a basic first person template, you just walk around and look at stuff. With over 100 fake reviews. Medival Hustle is partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Little, if anything in this game is the creation of the "developer". While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "Medival Hustle", and this kind of asset flipping never results in games that have quality or value for PC gamers. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $1 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. It's also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who paid money for this... nobody got refunded. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 10 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Worse, those players were just the compromised/bot accounts prepping to write the fake reviews. Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
