Medal of Honor™: Above and Beyond

VR doesn't have that many long narrative FPS games, but this is definitely that, and it's pretty alright. Starts off kinda weak but gets better and better with every mission. Story becomes more interesting, set pieces more exciting, level design more open.

I only got into VR just this last September and discovered this just a couple weeks ago. I know there are a lot of bad reviews for this game, but I really enjoyed playing it. If you are interested in WW2 history I think its a must. A lot of the locations in the game are very beautifully detailed. The gun mechanics are for the most part very enjoyable and there are tons of weapons to try out. For the bad part: Yes, there are glitches. Just be prepared going in knowing you will probably have to close and restart from your last checkpoint a few times. Also, there is one level where you have to "swim". Its a total pain. Just get through it lol. Overall I would say that if you can pick this game up on a sale, and enjoy WW2 history. then I recommend buying it.

I've seen many bad reviews of this game, and frankly I don't find them fair. there are flaws, few technical bugs, but the story is quite engaging if one has the patience and the will to assist to the sequences of dialogues and contributes to have a context of the different episodes. if you are expecting a 100% super fast run and shoot FPS action game, you cannot stand dialogues and you just want to shoot enemies, you will be disappointed. if you are looking for an FPS with a more cinematographic approach and linear story development, then I guess you will like the game.

This game is not TERRIBLE. It is a pretty fun game that will probably last you a while on a first playthrough. However, I cannot recommend you revisit this game upon a first completion or if you value historical accuracy and mechanics in a WW2 shooter such as this. The game is most certainly serviceable for a good time, but upon closer inspection, there are quite a few historical inaccuracies and many gameplay aspects are left to be desired, especially with the gunplay. You'll find that there is a mag release on weapons that did not have one, you MUST pull back the slide to every gun in the game regardless of if a round is chambered or not to fire, and there is no reloading beyond cycling a round with most bolt actions in game. All in all not a terrible game, but very, very arcadey

This game is fun but you cant have fun for more than five minutes before the game either crashes because you opened the puase menu or went to another room. The gun play is fun and i had fun with the game play but I have spent more time sitting in the loading screens as there's one after every small conversations in the campain and the loading screen just to open the game can take so long that I was starting to think it froze. I want to play this game I can see the fun and the amazing moments but to get there you have to deal with so much lag, crashes, textures not loading in, or the audio being off. That it just isn't worth it.

Game apparently will never go below a 50% discount. I finally caved and bought it. The game throws the player into so many crazy scenarios like a James Bond or Indiana Jones movie using set pieces like planes, trains, motorcycles, tanks, etc. They tried but it overall just falls flat and isn't very much fun. There's something off about the gunplay and there are some difficulty spikes in certain missions mainly with a bunch of spawning enemies. The graphics were decent in 2020 but have aged. Performance wasn't always consistent. The cutscenes and supporting characters were all lame. I clapped when Ollie died, finished the campaign out of spite and then immediately uninstalled it.

amazing game. truly one of my favorite vr games of all time. the story is great with good graphics to back it up lovable characters fun and very engaging missions. its a little on the expensive side and buggy in some areas but still a fun game overall, the file size is GIGANTIC though 180 gigs is crazy
