Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 9.43/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

ok after initial 8 hour play i was not impressed with the story lines and game flow. after additional play time. its still not what I remember the original mech warrior being, but it is not bad. the mechs could be far mor customizable as in MWO but it is not bad. single player story lines keep every thing going.
I shot a Javelin so hard it did a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ a triple flip in the air. Best MW game yet.

I recommend the game with several stipulations. The base game isn't really enough to enjoy and it only benefits from running on current platforms well, as opposed to prior battletech game entries like MW3/4, MechCommander 1/2, etc. The mech preparations are minimalistic, the missions are repetitive, and the story relatively boring. For the most part, almost everyone who has multiple hundreds of hours put into it has done so because of mods. The biggest set beying YAML (yet another mechlab). The full extent of management and customization of mechs is limited by PGI and while we can only reasonably guess as to the reasons, modders keep fixing what PGI doesn't. It's like a bethesda game in that regard. PGI has yet to have bothered to implement any good AI and merely threw something together that 'works' but doesn't feel good to those of us with experience in battletech. The long-term players know the story is straightforward and so linear it never matters how well you do in a mission, the outcome always stays the same. We're here for the sandbox to make it fit our vision of the game. The upsides? The mechs always sound right and move like a mech should. This isn't armored core where every mech is a gundam, zipping about and pulling off cinematic stunts, these are walking tanks of doom and they feel like it. They have weight and momentum. The variety of weapons are still more than acceptable, and there's an ok amount of mechs available (because fk Harmony Gold and the other companies who keep making battletech games so hard to produce without licensing every little thing they don't actually own). If you have any joystick, the community has put together the technical listings of how to configure your stick to be recognized by the game with just a few minutes of effort and is linked on the official website for the game. (I personally helped with dual-stick VKB Gladiator) With mods though, you get huge benefits beyond the above. An extensive arsenal of mechs and weapons? Check. Improved AI that will make you and enemies feel more challenging than the baby bots? Check! Full mechlab customization of mechs from individual heat sinks and half armor allottment of maximum for extra tonnage for guns? Check! It will even throw in a Leopard skill tree of sorts that lets you upgrade your drop tonnage, reduce repair costs, increase salvage rates, take apart weapons to make a single uptier'd one, the list goes on and on. Again, we get this game for the sandbox and scenarios that the mods then mold into an in-depth mech mercenary experience. Various mission types are locked behind DLCs, which can add some variety. Keep an eye out for sales, they come often, and it's well worth the time.
Stompy stompy boom boom pew pew woosh - fun stuff
It's a giant mech sandbox. In the campaign, you play a mercenary company commander who needs to keep the company afloat while seeking revenge against the people who murdered their father. The campaign is extended by tons of DLC mini-campaigns that go from mid-campaign to all the way past the end of the main campaign. Once you're done with that, challenge yourself with the different starts in career mode. This game while respecting your time, sucks you in, and before you know it, its bedtime! Great for single player, even better in co-op with friends.

ein einfach fesselndes Mech Spiel mit dem Verlangen im Spiel immer bessere Mechs oder Ausrüsstung zu finden
Rootin tootin mecha shooting with a lot of different mods from the community, a lot of fun in multiplayer.
There are really small things about this game that just feel rushed and unpolished. Things that should have been fixed by now. With that said, it is still a fun and enjoyable game.
Mir macht das Spiel auch nach 600 Stunden Spielzeit immer noch Spass: Neuer Content und immer wieder neue Ideen die Mechs auszurüsten motivieren langfristig.
