This game is a buggy mess - in my 8 hours of play I restarted the game 3 times hoping that this time I would not stumble upon any game breaking bugs, unfortunately this game looks like it was made by Bethesda. Theres alot of things that pissed me off - disappearing items (even the important quest ones), dissapearing NPCs, duplicating ammo, broken item durability, factions turning hostile for no reason, bugged merchants, terrible ranged combat, stupid controls (saving and vehicle controls), no button for highlighting loot/items which forces player to do pixel hunting all the time, and many many more little things that ruin the fun of the game completely. I really tried to give this game a chance, but seriously, I have had enough. I am disappointed that the developers of Serpents in the Staglands have made such a broken game. Too bad I cannot refund it now. Not recommended.
Cant talk to NPCs. Have to go out of there sight and pray that my cursor lands on the correct pixel to initiate dialogue. Really wanted to like it, but the game doesn't allow you to
Game is HOT FIRE LAVA SAUCE! *Very* cool cyberpunk CRPG, super immersive, tons of great features and old-school yet modern in some ways too. Highly recommended if you enjoy RPGs of the Baldur's Gate type variety and stuff like that, you may LOVE this game like I do! Great job Hannah & Joe! :) <3
ugh. so liberal you can vomit. the style audio video and perspective lured mee in. the gameplay is passable but .. weak. yet the capital sin is ideological. filled with women, with minorities, with stupid ideas
A grotty, dark crpg about deserters trying to get off a backwater planet by any means necessary. Immersive sim actions and consequences out the wazoo. Little hand-holding to the point where it comes with a notepad that it really intends for you to use to keep track of all the quests, clues, and tidbits that you come across. Somewhat kludgy in terms of the interface, but the sheer dedication to its design concepts is awesome.
This Game is true RPG that oozes Style and Atmosphere and is the true definintion of a HIDDEN GEM. I remember seeing a sceenshot of it one day and knew i had to play it and after finishing DEATH TRASH (Which is amazing BTW) I Finally Did and WOW I LOVE THIS GAME! If you like Escape from LA or any Post Apocalyptic movies this game will scratch that itch........ Its pure Punk Mud ♥♥♥♥ Distopian Death Wish Go Play it. It will become a CULT CLASSIC one day I belive it.
Awesome aesthetics and world. Dark and gloomy world which is a plus for me. Very odd controls. Buggy interface. Confusing tutorial. Terrible UI. I can't recommend it in its current state but has great potential if these glaring issues are resolved.
It’s a cranky, migraine inducing old-school RPG that feels half broken at times. I love it! Old time feels of playing games that almost didn’t make it and which you couldn’t quite get your friends to see the magic of; I see this magic, though!
this game deserves positiv on steam. I thought it might be a mistake to buy it but after the tutorial I knew allready that this game is smth special. Maybe at was bad at lunch but this here is like the cyberpunk game after they patched it up. Its a mix between time combat/arpg deus Ex - even group combat is possible (you dont have to) + you can drive vehicles like in GTA and even fight with cars (you can even drive a motorcycle with a katana - cyberpunk took many years for this lol) this is a secret gem for everyone who loves Bladerunner and stuff like that
EDIT: I've posted a positive review, talking about an ambitious but very flawed game, that's still somehow fun, if you can endure some jank. Playing further into the game i have to change this. It's just too broken to play for more than 3 hours into a playthrough and still have fun. The bugs aren't even the worst, the gamedesign itself is. Example: skill progression works like this, +1,+2,+3,+4,+5,+1D6. Yep, you heard me right, at level 6 your skill is now worse than it was on level 4. This applies to combat, skills, everything. Devs are talented and had a great ambition, but something went terribly wrong with this game. There is a rumour that they plan to revisit some concepts of this game again with a new project in 2025.
