McPixel 3

挺有意思

玩久了会烦，找不到笑点在哪里。

为什么我无法正常游戏？打开以后显示的是什么不能保存游戏设置？大家有什么头绪吗？

Played for about an hour and got everything I needed out of it. The basic premise of McPixel is straightforward. Every "level" is a series of "scenes", and within each scene is a bunch of interactions (or "gags" as the game calls them). Every interaction has some sort of outcome, some of which require you to string together multiple interactions to reach the intended result (e.g. throw the parachute out of a burning plane, jump out, then put on the parachute), with your main goal being to "save" McPixel from whatever situation he's in. Each scene has a short countdown timer, forcing you to keep moving. If you fail a scene, the game moves onto the next one, then loops back around until you save McPixel in each one. It keeps looping for infinity until you solve every puzzle. Some scenes have a minigame that switches things up a bit, such as changing the gameplay from a point and click adventure to a top down shmup similar to Galaga. I'll admit these are varied and kind of interesting. The retro console emulation was pretty cool and endearing too, but it wasn't enough to keep me playing once I figured out how the rest of the game would play out. Saving McPixel (completing a scene) grants you coins, which you then use to unlock new areas in the overworld, which gives you access to... more scenes. The problem is that the gameplay loop just feels lacking. McPixel 3 is basically "xDDDDD: The Game". You're forced to replay the same scenes over and over until you figure out an incredibly obtuse, idiosyncratic solution. This isn't much of a spoiler, but as an example: I was trying to 100% the burning plane scene, and no matter what I tried I couldn't find all the gags. Eventually I worked out that I had to punch a guy, drag his body over to another body, then use the guy as a weapon on the other one on the ground. The animation was a couple of frames of McPixel swinging the lifeless body at the other. That's what I needed to do to 100% the scene. The game feels very repetitive very quickly, and the gags don't do enough to provide any respite. The music is repetitive, there are no sound effects, and the pixel art is purposely lo-fi and blocky, so it isn't especially nice to look at either. I don't see myself coming back to this game. I'm glad I bought it for around $3 on sale rather than the original $14.50 asking price.

This game was good, until it gradually wasn't anymore, it just got too repetitive, boring and annoying to play for me, but I will admit that the very final level was awesome! Why I give this a negative review is because you might not like how much repetitive this game gets, especially what kind of humour as well.
