About
There is no single solution. Only yours.
Masters of Albion is a god game where you don’t just shape the world - you can step into it.
Build your town, guide your people and decide how Albion survives.
Every choice has consequences, and no two paths are the same...

Old Albion is gone - swept aside by the advance of modern technology.
But magic was never truly lost...
Now it returns, creeping back into the world, draining the life from its people and reshaping everything it touches.
You are chosen to wield its power.
Granted the abilities of a god, you must guide, protect and shape Albion as you see fit - building a world strong enough to withstand what’s coming.
An ancient force is rising.
What you create will decide whether Albion survives it.

As a god, you shape every part of your town.
Design and place buildings wherever you choose.
Hire, house, and manage your workforce.
Customise structures with colours, patterns and use weird designs to make them your own.
Combine building types to create unique, multi-purpose spaces using a flexible building system.
And there’s no waiting. No timers. No delays.
If you build it, it works - instantly.

Roam freely across the world of Albion.
See everything from above - or step into the lives of your people and experience it from the ground. Take control of heroes, workers, animals and more as you explore in real time.
Complete quests, uncover hidden treasures, and venture into underground caves where danger waits.
Craft weapons and armour to strengthen your heroes, and prepare them for what lies ahead.
From quiet moments to unexpected encounters - whether you’re exploring, fighting, or yes… kicking chickens - Albion is yours to discover.

Take control with the God Hand - and shape Albion however you choose.
Build entire towns.
Design weapons, armour, clothing and more.
Interact directly with the world and everyone in it.
Lift, move, throw or possess the living to take full control of their actions.
Reward your people - or push them to their limits.
Unleash devastating abilities when needed.
Strike enemies with lightning. Set the world ablaze. Crush threats with whatever is within reach.
From careful guidance to outright destruction, the choice is always yours.
This is what it means to wield real power.

When night falls, Albion is under threat.
Creatures emerge from the dark, descending on your towns and tearing through everything in their path.
With the power of a god, you decide how to defend it.
Build and arm defensive structures to hold the line.
Position heroes where they’re needed most.
Raise walls to slow the advance - or funnel enemies into carefully planned choke points.
Step in directly when the pressure builds.
Strike with lightning. Set fire to advancing hordes.
Grab whatever is at hand - boulders, barrels and more - and turn it against them.
Or take control of your heroes and face the threat head-on.
Every night is a test.
What you’ve built will only survive if you defend it.

It played like a mobile game. A lot of busy tasks that seemed disjointed. I did love the Fable nostalgia. I know it is in early access, so I am not going to be extremely critical, but there is more work to do.
I grew up playing the "black and white" games and fell in love with that style of game. Im stocked to see more games like that coming out now. BUT...This game needs optimization more than anything. My PC Specs are posted with this review. There should be ZERO issue playing this at over 100 frames. If my PC wont run it then I pray for the reasonable person who didn't irresponsibly buy a stupid expensive machine. The gameplay in the first hour is fun and I have enjoyed my time but the elephant in the room is imposable to ignore. Having to put settings on medium to break 60fps and god forbid that i use a spell like lightning...hello powerpoint. I'm enjoying the game and will keep trying to squeeze some frames in without making the game look bad but again it should not be a chore and the devs need to do better. If you can get by the Piss poor job of optimization and enjoy it then its worth a look. If not the i would steer clear of this one.
Terrible combination of minigames that make no sense nor are they enjoyable, highly linear gameplay, and all wrapped in a pseudo B&W covering. Another deep disappointment from Mr Moleneaux
Three Molyneux games stitched into one
Masters of Albion is a god-hand management sim, a town production builder, and a third-person action RPG all at once. The day loop is the strongest part. There are no timers, the day ends when you decide, and you build with a satisfying modular system that drops pieces in instantly. The production side has real depth once it clicks. One thing to know going in: this isn't really a god game. There's a hand-of-god mechanic, but no belief or worship system like Black & White had. You're a chosen one protecting a throne, not a deity. If that feeling is what you came for, adjust your expectations now. The rough edges are real. Performance is bad. I couldn't hit 60 FPS at 4K on a 5090, and half the graphics settings don't seem to change anything. 22cans call it a priority, but the 1.1 patch didn't move the needle much. It starts slow, too. What carries it is the writing. It's janky, old-school, and funnier than most polished games. The British humor Fable fans remember is right here. For parents or anyone short on time, it fits well. You can pause anywhere, including mid-combat. The day length is yours to control. No FOMO, no live service, and low volume works fine when the house is asleep. At 25 dollars it's fair. I have 22+ hours in and I'm staying until the end of Chapter One. If you can sit with an unfinished-feeling game and find the charm worth the friction, it's worth playing now. If you need it polished, wait a few months.
I was damn close to not giving Peter Molyneaux another chance after the Godus fiasco which I consider nothing less than a total betrayal of his most loyal fan base, those who made him the "King of God Games" with Black & White. Well, I'm glad I did. If Peter set out to redeem himself and end his career on a high, he succeeded - from what I've seen so far. This isn't a Black & White sequel but a spiritual and intellectual successor in every sense. It's got the vibe that made the classic great, and it's expanded on it. Molyneux's unique and at times bizarre English tavern-humor and storytelling mixes perfectly with the satisfaction of the sense of being in godlike control. A genre redefined but true to its roots. Well worth the wait, and enough to make me forgive and forget about Godus.
If you have a card that literally can't run games on DX11 like I do, Don't waste your time on this title. It's clear the Devs have their hands full with everything BUT making sure they have a stable DX12 version of the game. I've waited a long time to play this and I literally can't. I've tried everything. Even tried running it in DX11, but just like another title that doesn't have a DX12 version of their game, it crashes my card after about 5-30 minutes of gameplay. IF AND WHEN this title gets a stable DX12, I'll update my review.
I would wait until they iron it out.
Hey everyone! Long story short, this game is a blast. People who played Black & White 1 and 2 had massive expectations, and after all these years, we finally got something similar. The only real issue is that Black & White was way ahead of its time, so topping a masterpiece like that is tough. The story isn't boring at all, the quests are super engaging, and being able to explore in third-person is an awesome touch. Plus, the soundtrack is absolutely magical the whole way through.I saw some previous comments where people complained about the game stuttering and getting terrible FPS on max settings, even with rigs way beefier than mine (I've attached my specs below). Honestly, it's weird to me because I cranked everything up to Ultra and I'm getting a rock-solid 90 FPS.Of course, there’s still room for improvement, but once this game is fully cooked and out of early access, it’s going to be an absolute banger. Keep up the great work, devs!
DOH, RAY, ♥♥♥♥ ME HUH. what an ass of a quest.
