Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Mass effect is the epic of our time.it is one of the best games of all time.
Ordered a PS4 copy of Legendary immediately after beating the main story. I'm glad I decided to finally get around to playing Mass Effect.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

A Marvelous game, so go play the pi@$te version. One of the most brilliant story in a game. But is published by EA games, a company who is always trying to gain the worst company award... again. They make a patch where the dlc's dont work in the steam version (for you to buy in their horrible shop), in my country is full price (on a 2007 game).
Mass Effect 1 is one of those games that really pulls you in with its story and worldbuilding, even if some of the gameplay elements don’t quite hold up today.
The dialogue is strong across the board, and the voice acting does a great job of selling the cast. I especially liked how conversations are staged; characters are positioned against interesting backdrops, which makes even simple exchanges feel cinematic. That said, I wasn’t a huge fan of male Commander Shepard’s voice; it felt flat and forced compared to the rest of the cast. Where Mass Effect really shines, the game spoils you with lore and most of it feels believable and genuinely interesting. I loved how the codex actually reads entries aloud, it makes diving into the political and cultural details of each species much more engaging. The political lore especially stood out, adding depth to the galaxy beyond just the main plot. The Cutscenes are fantastic. The visuals, pacing, and music all come together to make each one of them feel extraordinarily important. On the flip side, the in-game background music is pretty monotonous. It’s serviceable, but it gets repetitive and doesn’t add much atmosphere. The controls often feel clunky and confusing, and the gameplay itself comes across as uninspired and driving the Mako never felt quite right. More than once I found myself pushing through combat just to get back to the real draw of the game, the story and dialogue. Most of the levels are pretty uninspired, both in terms of design and the enemies you face. I found myself in very visually similar warehouses in multiple missions, or driving the Mako across a stretched out texture on a nearly featureless map. But there are moments where the visuals really shine though they are few and far between. The ending mission’s skybox with the Reaper latched onto the Citadel, was a standout and made the finale feel appropriately dramatic. The story is easily the strongest part of Mass Effect 1. It’s incredibly well written, and the characters all have believable motives that make them feel real. Even when the gameplay frustrated me, the narrative kept me hooked from start to finish. TLDR Mass Effect 1 isn’t perfect, the clunky combat and bland level design hold it back but the story, lore, and cinematic presentation more than make up for it. It’s a game that proves how powerful worldbuilding and writing can be, and it left me excited to see where the series goes next. 8/10
EA - anti consumer.
