About

Mashina is a digging adventure by the developers behind Judero. You play as Mashina, a friendly mining robot tasked with finding minerals to help mend, build and nurture her quirky robot community.
The Gameplay in Mashina is divided into two distinct sections; a deep, mysterious underground full of trinkets and minerals and a vibrant, fully explorable 3D Overground.
A lot of the game will be spent exploring, discovering and reclaiming the underground world.
Use your radar to scope out objects of interest.
Dig to excavate rare minerals.
Store the rare minerals safely in Mashina's backpack
Deposit those minerals in your underground base
Build helpful machines to aid your excavations
Find robot pals, treasures, trinkets and more
Explore the underground and discover an adventure waiting to happen.

Meet locals and get missions
Upgrade your equipment
Decorate your surroundings
Explore and find collectables and secrets

Everything in Mashina is handmade out of various materials and animated using traditional stop-motion techniques. We then turn the animations into textures and sprites we can use in game, adding normal maps which let us have dynamic lighting and shadows.
Music is an important part of our work. For Mashina we are making the extensive soundtrack using retro synths to make a sublime soundscape to chill out and dig to. All the sound effects are made using old synths too, to keep in keeping with the score.
Our robots are all fully voice acted and are voiced by some very talented people from across the gaming world and beyond.

A game you can tell was made with a lot of love. Lots of little optional things to do along the way. The core gameplay loop is helping your buddies out so they can help you progress. The main means of doing so is digging, finding things and then upgrading; similar to SteamWorld Dig and the like. This game moves to the beat of its own drum though and oozes with charm. I liked it so much that I'm going to be playing other games by these devs to see what other worlds they have created, a really fun time!
Very fun game, saw it in a voting award line up and grabbed it when I could. Very easy to just jump straight into, the stop motion art style is a treat for the eyes and the soundtrack... my god the soundtrack.... please release the soundtrack. ABCDE FM is such an earworm of songs and the overworld tune - I could just sit there and listen for ages.

Love the claymation and love the radiostations. Mining is chill and enjoyable. It's just a delightful game to exist in for a while.
A charming world and tons of fun, even it it wears a little thin by the end.
I'd take a bullet to the chest for each and every single character in Mashina

After finishing the game I watched the extra documentary, it's really awesome to see the devs talking about the behind-the-scenes stuff. Looking forward to more games from them.
I really enjoyed Mashina. The art and characters are very charming. The gameplay is pretty simple and chill, but quite enjoyable, especially when vibing out with the great soundtrack.
And the radio host bits, which I hadn't been expecting, also really add to the game's setting.
Machina is real and she is my friend
