Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 15 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I was so excited to find this again, after so long. I used to love this game. I am sad and disappointed that it doesn't work. The philips intro screen plays like one frame a second for a while, then freezes. :(
Due to the reason that you only start with 600 ducats, and you can buy 370 units of food for around 370 ducats and these 370 units of food are used up in about 2 voyages to two new cities, (which is pretty short btw) you end up broke after a very short while. You cant vendor ♥♥♥♥ because the prices for buying are high and selling wares like silver or spices are usually much lower than the ones you bougth them for. And taht doesnt even include the cost for buying and escort or the carriers or pack animals you have to account for. How the hell are you supposed to make moneyto afford all this crap? The only reason to buy this is to look into the vast library of historic films and the nice atmosphere i came across. You can learn a ton about the life back then, all about the voyages of marco polo, legends and stories, mongols, weapons that were used and so and so on.

Garbage
The nostalgia is amazing! I played this game for endless hours in the 90's. It combines strategy, adventure and historical details that make you feel like you are following in the footsteps of one of the greatest adventurers of all time...Marco Polo. If you can look past the poor graphics...this is still a fun game after all these years.
Fun game with that old-school nostalgia of no handholding, random events that ruin you and missions that fail if you answer no when you should answer yes and yes when you should answer no. I recommend saving often, and if you are heavily loaded with goods, at every town on your way. Tips - The game is on a time limit, and not every mission can be completed. Especially in central Asia/Himalayas, you will spend 3 weeks travelling just ONE city over. That is 1 whole percent of your total gametime wasted on one click. There is more to experience in the denser regions to the East or to the West - Gems are your friends, they have no weight and sell at very good prices at the right destinations - Buy the most expensive trade goods on offer. Weight, porterage and food-issues can slow you down. The fewer items you carry the better! It is a waste of time to have to wait 4 weeks in one town to stock up on supplies because you have 20 porters and soldiers when you could make do with 2 camels and gamble on not getting attacked - EXPERIENCE the game. Take note of prices, listen to rumours. You can often haggle at about half price when buying and offer up to 3 times higher when selling, depending on town and your fame All in all, this is a great little gem. Originally played it on the CDI many years ago with a remote controller that had to stand in a perfect angle to recieve connection and which was quite janky, playing with a mouse is a much improved experience :D
A classic game from CD-I that i'm so happy to play again :) It's not that great, but it got me hooked on marco polo stories and learning more about china and mongolia as a child.
