Recommended for the effort and potential, not the actual game itself in its current state. The basic mechanics are interesting, and the visuals are pretty, but that's not enough to make a fun game yet. Main areas that are lacking:
In-run Upgrades
There are way too few upgrades, it seems to just be a handful actually? I always get the same few: Superbash, Healing, and maybe one other. Sometimes, I just get the choice of 3x Superbash, even though I already have that?
Visual clarity
Important items and objects need better clarity and contrast to the background. Enemies are often hard to notice, and also the brown hatch (to construct modules or something?) should be easier to see. There may be other items, that I didn't even notice, because they just don't stand out from the background.
Progression, difficulty and unlocks
To start, we're immediately given the choice of 5+ characters. These should all be unlocks, to give me some clear guidance and goals to strive for. Also, after dying on purpose in the 3rd or 4th level, I'm given some Astro Credits or something, probably to upgrade my meta-stats. At this point I was already so bored of the game, that I just quit. I think making the difficulty much higher, and making me really need those upgrades would make the game far more interesting. As it currently is, it was super easy to just breeze past 3-4 levels. That's not very fun or interesting, it's just boring. Cutting the player starting HP by 50% or more would be a good start.
I didn't find the loop particularly engaging. But I gave you my money regardless to support development of Urtuk 2. You are welcome
Very funny , but not gammepad
Totally recommend it, one of the coolest rougelikes I have played in recent memory, I really dig the comic style grapic and the sounds. Also have to mention the class system which is a really welcome idea in a game like this
Стильно, сочно, красиво, физика, саундтрек - я не вижу в этой игре минусов для любителей жанра рогаликов!
Nádherná slovenská hra! Najviac sa mi páčil systém vývoja postavy a súbojový systém – je dynamický a zábavný. Určite odporúčam.
