I found this game to be very relaxing. The main game and minor story modes are nice, and even though it is short, it is a good game to play whenever you need a break from reality.
short but a cool concept
Metroidvania experimentado apenas por exploração de mapas. Pegue itens de acesso e se transporte para novas áreas ou planetas. Bem curto, mas tem 2 minigames, modo difícil e speedrun depois do jogo.

There's probably about an hour of "pretty decent time" in this game. Give it a shot. [Edit] The extra game modes / minigames have some fun things, but also contain a few too many invisible mazes for my taste.

This is a cute little game. For the price, this was a lot of fun. I don't think it has much in terms of replayability, but for $3, I am ok with that. Thank you, dev for this game.
Reminds me of the day a childhood friend bought a used Game Boy and it came with a cartridge that he played for five minutes, deemed it boring and then gave it away to me. The game was Metroid II: Return of Samus. I didn't know about the series, or the genre it created, I went in blind and was enthralled. Maptroid: Worlds compresses the essence of Metroid into a cube, something that could work on a TI-83 graphics calculator, with your schoolmates wondering why you're playing that boring game again, there's nothing happening?? But you would know better. No jumping and shooting, yeah, but there still is an adventure, a small galaxy to discover. Bonus point for me: I adore "map painting" in any game, be it an open world racer where you colour in the roads or a dungeon crawler.
A short game about the exploration of maze-like planets on a 2D grid. An interesting concept with nice execution, although I wasn't a huge fan of the amount of teleportation needed to finish the game - it got confusing very fast because of the sheer amount of connections between different areas. The game was still fun to play though and I enjoyed the side content as well, so overall it was a very positive experience.
Part of the fun of Metroid and similar games is filling out that minimap. Maptroid and the original flash game took the concept to the core. No jumping, no combat, just map and some puzzles and finding the hidden stuff to let you reach other areas like flashlights and teleporters. I'm going to admit it won't be for everyone even with the low entry price tag and multiple alternate modes of play. But it is honestly a quick bit of fun.
