Reviews
Was everyone paid to post these reviews? This is a fidget phone game that you play on your PC. You pick a house, repeat the same exact renovation actions: Pick up garbage > put down walls and floor > put down predetermined furniture > sell > repeat. Beyond colours, you can't pick your furniture or where you place it, and it pretty much looks the same for every house you go to. There are two upgrades you can get endlessly that allow you to walk faster and carry more. It's a Carrying Stuff Simulator. If I paid more than £3.50 for this I'd start a riot.
Unfinished and abandoned as it seems! I haven't played it through myself, so I'm taking this only from the reviews and discussion and the 0.9 something game version that clearly looks like early access - and from not seeing any updates. I bought it 5 years ago, expecting updates, so now I can't even refund it. If it was at least finished, it would be an okay game. The gameplay is quite boring honestly and the graphics are those oversaturated ones from a kid's mobile game but I can see that some might find it cute and maybe relaxing and satisfying. Sadly I don't, that's why I don't think I'll go on playing it and write this review already instead of after a complete playthrough (to verify the unfinished state).

Okay, so I'm going to just say it: I think this game is a money-making scam. Despite users reporting bugs and asking for patches and updates, there's been absolutely NO progress made since its release. I read on another negative review someone defending the developer saying the dev was a little Ukrainian girl... whether or not this is true, or simply to invoke sympathy from the people who bought this buggy-mobile-game-copy... I'm not sure. I am really grateful I did not keep this game in my library with the hope that there will be any updates, and got refunded. I sincerely hope I am wrong in calling this a money-trap/ scam. I would actually have really liked to play a bug-free,completed version of this. This is very similar to a lot of mobile games, without the forced ads. I would have enjoyed something casual like this. Shame.
This game is really cute. The gameplay loop is short and repetitive, but that's not necessarily a negative. I do wish certain things were in the game, though, like a true windowed mode and the ability to rebind keys (accidentally hitting X, which zooms out and shows you both what you're doing for the step you're on and the room you're working on -- is MADDENING and I wish I could make it stop). Plus, of course, more options for colors and patterns in floors/wall/furniture and more jobs overall -- I understand that it's a $5 game, and it's well-priced at that, but I'm burning through the content because I'm enjoying it so much and I already want more! Redoing my own mansion is more fun than I expected. Finally I can have the purple house of my dreams!
The perfect game for anyone with a passion for design and renovation. Every house flip feels like a new challenge, and I love experimenting with different design styles. The best part is working towards buying and restoring your ultimate dream mansion
Addictive and relaxing! 'Mansion Restorator' has totally scratched that renovation itch I didn't know I had. From buying run-down properties to restoring them into beautiful homes, the satisfaction of flipping a mansion is unmatched. I’m loving the variety of design choices too.
UNFINISHED GAME!!! - 19 houses to redecorate and sell with "more to come" - leaves you with spare stars to fix your own house (because next room is "coming soon") - collectable items box bugs out making them unreachable - redecorate at player house got some "pick item" bubbles overlapping (item can't be selected) If you want one of those "pick 1 of 3 choices to redecorate" mobile games with minimal gameplay, it can be fun as long as you don't mind its unfinished state.
