Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my gameplay & initial impressions here: https://youtu.be/gfRUD3DkBwE This seems to be a solid, puzzle escape room. It does not hold your hand at all. You have to be very observant of your surroundings in order to figure out what you're even supposed to do, let alone solving any of the puzzles. I'm not sure how much content there is, but I can say that I am stumped and haven't finished the first level in well over an hour of play. There are three total levels listed. It has a low polygon art-style. While I wasn't a big fan of that, each of the rooms has a lot of detail to them. There are several objects you can interact with, along with several that you can't. You have to figure out what is useful and what is not. Game also has some audios & cut-scenes. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a steady 90 fps. I did not experience any serious issues or bugs, but there were some minor annoying ones. The audio didn't always play when it was supposed to and my hands did get stuck in the geometry a few times. You do have full locomotion, along with snap turning (there is no smooth turning). You can reset your height as well & there is button crouch, so you can play comfortably seated. There were no graphical settings, only sound settings & height calibration. Game auto-saves your progress in the puzzles. Rate ?/10. I haven't gotten far enough to score accurately. It seems like a decent puzzle game.
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program. doodoo dog ass, no way to refresh levels if items fall out of the map. Not to mention this is littered with ai generated voices and probably art. borderline unplayable with index controllers, no menus. nuthin.
Mansion Mystery is a paid VR Escape Room puzzler game. It worked on my Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Low poly art style. Has a free demo game for you to try before you buy. CONS: Does not work with HTC Vive controllers. Maybe buy, if you like Escape the Room like games. I got a free key for this from the Steam Curator program. Low poly art style, realistic physics interactions, interesting puzzles
B.t.w.: Es läuft gerade ein Update vom Spiel: "The first update after the full release including minor bug fixes, performance, and quality improvement" Mal schauen! Smart little puzzle game
Disclaimer: I've received this game for free via Curator Connect. Clunky but ultimately fun VR Escape room with interesting puzzles. It ends abruptly after the 3rd level, but still provides 2+ hours of gameplay. Puzzles are quite good and somewhat challenging: I've got stuck a few times mostly due to lack of attention to the environments. On the drawbacks side: physics based item interactions are clunky, there are some bugs with door opening after loading a save. Visuals are bland even for low poly style and yet they are performing unbelievably poorly on high settings on RX 6800 XT. And minor nitpick: the game does not recognize real life crouching and requires a button push instead in one certain place. Works on Reverb G2, but height calibration is a bit off
