I love cute games and I LOVE cooking games, I also love dinosaurs. As much as the aesthetic of this game is incredibly cute, I think this game isn't meeting it's potential unfortunately. - The controls whether on keyboard or controller are incredibly clunky, it does not feel smooth to play. If you have multiple orders with different ingredients, you cannot cook a pizza and do ingredients at the same time as you will get a random assortment of toppings and the pizza will burn. It doesn't flow and feels very slow. Tweaking of the controls system and the topping system, as well as making your character walk faster would make massive improvements! - The story line and cut scenes are not coherent, I am nearing completion and still can't fully grasp what the full story is supposed to be. Bio's of the main characters =/= creating a connection to the story and characters. - Gameplay is extremely repetitive, there are no visible kitchen or environment upgrades. You can only buy new ingredients and upgrade the dinosaur helpers. This makes the game become stale and boring incredibly fast. If Dev team could consider upgrades to the kitchen, or even a sense of customisation of the environment with in game currency, it would at least give you more reason to play the same 2 game modes over and over. - It's painstakingly slow to finish the game (or feels like it) due to all of the above. Controls and toppings issue makes it hard to make money in game to upgrade helpers or buy ingredients. You end up having to play what feels like the same level but maybe with a new pizza over and over. I would love the devs to consider a rework of this as it has amazing potential but it's falling flat, and I say that as kindly as I can because I know you can't make a game overnight.
Has Pronouns. For Dinosaurs.
This game is very cute, but the controls and the speed at which the characters move make it way too frustrating to play.
Alright, after playing a bit more I've actually come to like the game already. I like the characters, controls aren't complicated, the game is kind of simple but not to the point that it's boring. There's only 4 things that bother me: -A forced failure kind of situation at the start. Tutorial doesn't come until afterwards. With the way it was set up I thought that perhaps an update bugged the game and was never fixed and I was about to refund it. -The game shows what key to press to interact with something. Problem is that everything in the kitchen has that key shown. It would be much better if it only showed the key for something you're standing in front of. -It can be hard to gauge if you're in the right spot to use something, leading to wasted time. -Can't finish up orders when the store closes, even if you're carrying a finished pizza to the delivery spot. Also, not a "problem" exactly, but I do wish you had the option to prepare before opening, such as making various pizzas or just getting several things of dough ready to go. Problems and personal gripes aside, it's a cute little game that I'd absolutely recommend getting.
This game seems cute and charming on paper... Dinosaurs making Pizza, sounds like a good time... right? Well let me tell you that this game is repetitive and has hardly any variation to make it fun. You only play in one locale, you do the same 7-8 pizzas until the game decides to progress the story (which is boring and you don't really miss much if you decide to quit halfway through). I've played cooking games before and this one has to be the laziest and most aggravating one I've played in recent memory. Skip this one if you want to play something fun and engaging.
PC controls are unnecessarily jank, with all controls just in one hand. My right hand feels so empty. It would have been better to have either the movement on the arrow keys or the skills on the numpad. As it stands, it's just a dumb way to make the game "harder". That's in quotes because it really just made the entire experience frustrating. As cute as the visuals are, the animations are so slow? I guess that's part of the "mechanic" or whatever, with your char being slow when the stress level is low while fast and rushing when the stress level is high. But it feels weird and backwards in a time management game. Story... What story? Lol. We got a cutscene in the beginning and some dialogue here and there, but they're so few and far in between that I don't even remember what the point of it all is. I expected more from this game. I'm gonna go back to playing Shawarma Legend.
It would be nice to see this game get a bug fix and quality of life patch, but it's still a decent time. Recommended to those with a fondness for a more chilled out gameplay experience.
