About
This game is presented in the style of old 1st-person point & click adventure games, with an emphasis on moody atmosphere and surreal environments. Strange denizens pepper the vast halls of this cryptic building.
Learn the mysteries of the various rooms and complete a handful of puzzle minigames to reach the "true end". Or just have a relaxed time exploring and meeting folks, because most of the station is accessible from when you first enter the building.
Will one of these fine folk become your artistic muse!?!?

.........and more folks to find, too!
NOTE - The game has a couple of small artistic symbolic illusions to body parts, as well as a reference to "P". Very PG overall, but keep that in mind if it's not your thing.

Reviews
This game contains visual/symbolic depictions of urine, genitalia, and other isolated body parts. I enjoyed the game regardless, but please be aware of this before playing if they are turn-offs or triggers for you.
Full playthrough w/ true ending here: https://youtu.be/4HvY5PwJVwU I'm actually surprised this hasn't got more reviews yet, this is a pretty interesting and absurd adventure to find ones muse. You meet all kinds of whacky characters and in true point and click fashion if you miss where to put your mouse you're doomed to circling in oblivion to find the next piece of the puzzle. The mini games/puzzles are simple but a nice change of pace in a point and click but all the difficulty comes in missing the crucial piece to progress. In my opinion it was definitely worth the 4 dollars it's strange but pretty enthralling. The main complaint I have is the lack of achievements that would have been clutch.
I'm not entirely sure how to review this. The inspirations are clear, the game is short, it's obtuse but also understandable. It's a game that knows exactly what it is, what it wants, and who it's tailoring itself to. If you're in the mood for a classic artistic point-and-click (strangeness and all) then this is definitely the kind of game for you.
I think this is a recreation and satire of 1990s 3D rendered point-and-click CD-ROM games. It mimics the weird surreal LSD-crazed design that was common at the time, along with similarly LSD-crazed music, artwork and "story". I didn't get the joke at first, but you play as "Manglepaw" who is literally just the cursor itself, shaped like a clawed paw that was brutally severed from its arm. All of the NPCs are genderless or mixed gender and are referenced in the plural, which makes it confusing to read (and there is one NPC that actually is plural). The puzzles and clues are just as obscure as they were in the 90s, so be prepared for that. There are multiple endings, and one "true end" that requires gathering all the objects (warning: this ending is highly unsanitary). It's shorter than the old time games, which is actually a plus since you can finish it before the weirdness gets overwhelming.
"Manglepaw" is a pre-rendered stream of consciousness. The environments are all surreal in construction and you will be constantly assaulted by their charm. The puzzles are not tedious and can all be figured out without a guide for those with patience, but "Manglepaw" is definitely more focused on the world than the puzzles. Like resnijars other works "Manglepaw" seems to be for a very niche audience but if you find yourself to be a lover of the strange and surreal you will like this game. 7/10
lost my v card in the swirl room
This game is wonderful, and does a great job of mixing lower-complexity models and textures to create a detailed environment. The soundtrack, while repetitive, encourages the player to stay on the move, harnessing a simple aspect that could be considered a fallacy, and turning it into something that pushes the player forward. Other than how the game looks and sounds, it also does a great job in capturing the feel of early point-and-click games. The slow loading between screens may turn some players away, but most certainly elicited the intended feeling of nostalgia in myself personally. While the game could be considered "short" it is a nice length to be a single-session playthrough, not overstaying it's welcome, but also justifying the price of the game itself. The story-line was great and not cluttered, the lack of a checklist making it easy to walk away from, and easy to return to. I have nothing but high-praise for the developer, and will certainly be keeping an eye out for any future content.
Its a really surreal experience, what you see in the trailers and screenshots is what you get. I would say its worth the price, very trippy :)
Manglepaw is heartfelt point-and-click adventure that offers the kind of surreal, 1990s-edutainment-adjacent experience you might expect from the visuals on the store page. It never falters from its premise - there's no mid-game horror twist and the game never lampshades its own absurd setting and characters; instead, it delivers a short, sweet game in which you'll end up meeting a variety of interesting people, any of which you can choose as your muse to inspire your next creative endeavor. The space between them is occupied by long stretches of otherworldly architecture, claimed by one of its creators to have been part of a non-stop construction effort that spanned both their waking hours, and their dreams. If you're on the fence, give it a go. As you can see from my hours played, the game won't take up much of your time, and there's no soft-locks or frustrating left-field solutions to be found. It's a point-and-click about a floating paw in a slightly non-euclidian train station, as straightforward as they come! p.s. i thought i knew true regret, but the jarsie ending proved me wrong.
bro is there anywhere to listen to the soundtrack on its own its great
