Great little VN with unique artstyle, very fair price
Short game but absolutely overflowing with aura... Even though you can knock this out in under an hour, I would absolutely suggest playing it. The artwork is phenomenal and the writing is fun and scratches the same itch as Sin City for me. As the title suggests, you see a few possible outcomes to a night where you really just wanna go home. This game makes you feel like a bottom feeder bum who just so happens to exist in the proximity of a noir or cyberpunk story. You are an unimportant nobody, and the way this game reinforces that position is pretty unique, and a lot of fun! Well worth the price for such a cool piece of art. ^_^
Beautiful art style, fun little piece of a story of a night trying to get home after a bad day at work. Several choices to make end up giving several diff ways to end the story. There’s some good dialogue with a few lines that made me laugh out loud. There’s also one touching/sad route you can end on. Recommend.
pretty cool game. very funny at times.
absolutely worth your time and money! I loved every aspect of this game and the loop of saving before choices and fast forwarding through previously-witnessed dialogue in favor of a different outcome allowed for engaging replayability in a single sitting. The presentation was a treat and the limited palette that switched colors in every section made it easy to track where you were on subsequent playthroughs while offering a tonal shift without compromising the style of the game.
Short but great story game, turns out it's pretty hard to get home.
Short, compelling, unsual, interesting, odd and unique. I enjoyed it.
Short but compelling. The fragmentary structure of the story is the main selling point here, along with the visuals. Most games that follow a branching story structure put a lot of weight on the finale. Every choice is usually filtered through the question "Is this going to get me where I want to go?". Here, the game's multiple endings don't really serve the function of a finale, since to piece any cohesive narrative together you have to see it from as many angles as possible. No one path is conclusive. The game is also short enough that you quickly realise it's about exhausting your options. Achievements help with this as well. Choices that don't seem all too different somehow turn out to be substantial. Through entropy alone the minute differences in how events play out amount to fundamentally different outcomes (though, ultimately, almost every path leads to the same place). Overall, I enjoyed it a lot.
