at first i was a bit worried i wouldn't be able to solve these puzzles bc i'm notoriously bad at them, but when i really locked in (and with a little bit of chat's help sometimes) i managed to get through them all. the puzzles are very nicely designed and satisfying to solve, and i didn't expect the story to grab me so hard as it did. also I LOVE CAUTIONNE'S DESIGN
Good game. Pretty short, which could be seen as a bad or a good thing. Hopefully this ends up getting more attention, as it deserves it.

Was expecting a visual novel with some puzzles, and was very pleasantly surprised with a narrative puzzle game that could go toe to toe with Nancy Drew herself. Was playing on hard, and some of the puzzles completely stumped me which I was really happy about! I wanted to be challenged, and I certainly got it. I was really impressed by how every single puzzle in the game felt fresh, there is so much variety that there is no doubt that you will find a favorite puzzle. The voice work is superb, and it's the cherry on top of a lovely little story. It's one well worth experiencing yourself. Very excited to see where it goes from this point, and ready to cry so much at the prequel. Cautionne as your newest underling I would happily make you another pancakes. Evil style, of course.
play this game to get a free son you now have to protect forever. 10/10 - would escape again
havent had the chance to write a proper review here (since i knew this game through itchio first) but truly this game was very enjoyable for me to finish! as someone who loves visual novels AND mystery/escape room games, malviolence ticked a lot of boxes for my puzzle-solving brain itch :D did not know theres a second (and THIRD?? GAME??) so ill make sure to check those out as well!!
absolutely FAN-FRICKIN-TABULOUS!! amazing story lines, and the puzzles are like the perfect dificulty. keep up the good work!!
Mado contacted me to check out their games and honestly I had a really great time playing this one! I went in blind with no expectations and I was blown away at the storytelling!! THE MUSIC!! HECK EVEN THE ART! I did have some difficulties with puzzles because I could not for the life of me solve them as I am just bad at puzzles. (You could skip them, and I forgot to do so too lol) But the story had me hooked to keep pushing through. Overall it's such a fun game and would definitely consider you checking it out for yourself 10/10
I haven't even finished this game, but I know how much I want to come back to it! The art, voice acting, and puzzles really intrigues me to keep going. Can't wait to keep diving deep!
I really enjoyed malViolence. The art style is gorgeous and immediately drew me in, and the main character was super fun to follow throughout the story. The puzzles were okay and didn’t always stand out as much as the narrative, but they never took away from the overall experience. The story and presentation were strong enough to keep me engaged the whole way through. Overall, a very positive experience and an easy recommendation, especially if you enjoy story-heavy visual novels.
