this game had loads of potential, and the developer kept up on it well till one day about a year ago....... DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GAME!!!!!!! no updates in a year and its not even close to finished. if i could get my money back i would. this developer has made me very leary to support unfinished games. no more early development for me. save your self the irritation.
Steam pushed an "update" for this game on 10-22-24 that was literally nothing except an empty folder named, "Windows." Several days later the game is no longer purchasable via the Steam store. Should this ever become available for purchase again please do yourself a favor and confirm that there actually is something to play before purchasing it. Furthermore I would strongly suggest that nobody purchase this unless there is an actual, qualitative update to the game and not just the data files becoming available for download again. As it stands the game hasn't received an update for years, the mechanics are janky in several areas, and what options are available for character customization, crafting, and so on are so limited as to make it very questionable whether it's worth $1 for the people who actually like playing "dead" Early Access games for some reason. To clarify a bit on the "janky" comment, it can sometimes take multiple clicks to harvest a resource node, up to and including having to run away from the node first. Likewise the world environment has wood slat "steps" in many areas, visible in the preview pictures on the store page, which just so happen to be invisible walls. Those slats also prevent you from entering several homes in the first village, but that's okay because you can open up chests in them from 75' away and obtain the loot that was in them from that distance. You can try shooting enemies with a bow only to hit the ground, but when they walk over those arrows they still take damage. Bargain basement zombies can drop gear you can't equip until level 12+. You (probably) have to craft caster weapons in order to use spells, but you can't chop down trees or mine ore until you get to the first town, likely after you've already leveled up a time or two and have your first spell or two. The initial starting spot of a new game really looks like it was inspired by Path of Exile, but the effects are, of course, jank. You walk on basic sand with no footprints or water splashes when the tide rolls in, both of which are okay'ish in an EA game, but when the tide comes in it's a clearly grid-based effect of splashes that doesn't actually look anything remotely like real water on sand. It looks more like water hitting rocks along the shoreline and splashing up into the air. Likewise there's a large pool or small pond fairly close to the starting spot where you can actually fully submerge your character; the good part of this is that your character's movement speed actually slows down the deeper you get, but the bad part is that the lack of immediate breath mechanics strongly suggest your character is either capable of indefinitely holding their breath or they're undead. Or the mechanic just isn't implemented which would be strange since movement slowdown was impelemented. On the bright side, and I say that a bit facetiously bordering on sarcastically, the game has jiggle physics and nudity. Now, to be clear these aren't good implementations of those facets of games. The "nudity" is limited to the female character's butt clipping through her panties from a high enough camera distance and her string bikini bra not covering her nipples, but her nipples look like skin-colored circles at any zoom so it's more like ogling the porn store bra on a mannequin than looking at something real. Likewise the jiggle physics are overblown so that her chest looks more like a couple of spheres in a spandex bra rather than real breasts moving naturally. Why did I bother typing all that? Because it's a bit of, "Well this doesn't work, this doesn't work right, this is just screwy, but the dev at least had the priorities to do *this* much! *eyeroll*" humor. Do not purchase this game for the jiggle physics; they're worse than the jiggle physics in Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance on the PS2.
