[h1]ODPAD[h1] !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not worth it (at least not in its current state) ★☆☆☆☆ I bought Mall Craze hoping for a fun and addictive tycoon-style experience, but unfortunately, it turned out to be incredibly underwhelming and rushed. After just 30 minutes of gameplay, I had already unlocked every available shop, started making a ton of money, and realized there was very little else to do. That’s when it hit me there's just no depth here. The core idea had potential: build your own mall, manage shops, and grow your empire. But Mall Craze feels more like a proof of concept than a finished game. There are only a handful of shops to build, and once you’ve placed them all, the game pretty much plays itself. You keep raking in money passively, and there’s barely any challenge or meaningful progression. It lacks goals, mechanics, or upgrades to keep players engaged beyond the first half hour. Worse, the game feels like it was rushed out the door to start making money without offering enough actual gameplay. There's little polish, no real strategy, and the lack of content makes it feel more like an early early early- demo than a early access game. Even some basic features you'd expect in a tycoon game—like customer behaviour theirs sum but not enough, maintenance costs, more detailed staff management, or mall layout strategy e.g Certain shops will be more profitable at the front of the mall and some at the end e.g food shops after customers walk there hungry! Most of theses are completely missing. I ended up refunding it because it just wasn't worth the money. If you're thinking about buying it, I strongly recommend waiting until the developers add a lot more content and polish. Right now, it feels like a Pushed release to make money, and I can’t justify spending anything on it in this state. It could become a decent game down the line, but as of now, there's really no reason to play it. Devs: if you’re reading this, please don’t abandon the project. Add more shops, introduce more management mechanics, increase the challenge, and give players a reason to keep playing. There’s potential here—but it’s nowhere near ready yet. Avoid until serious updates are made. I’ll be keeping an eye on it, but right now, it’s a big nope from me.
Let me set the record straight. This game is back under development (as a hobby), and may not be complete, this game is still fun for sandbox, and is more so an investment to support the developer. This game is still fun in its current state, and you are supporting an indie developer, so there are really no negatives.
What Mall Craze does well is build stuff and customize it. You can customize a LOT about your individual shops, from the floor to the walls to employees and products. What Mall Craze fails at is keeping me engaged. After you build shops (there are only about 5 types to choose from), there is nothing to do. You just watch stuff happen. I realize it's early access, but there needs to be goals, something for me to want to keep building things. Right now, all there is seems to be "build more stuff!" which isn't enough. As a fellow developer, I cannot find it in me to mark a game as not recommended, so if you're the kind of person that looks for a game where all you do is build a mall and watch people shop, then this is the game for you.
Very clearly in early access but fun so far for what it is
