Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

In the sea of massive games, both indie and AAA, Majotori offers a simple but fun gameplay premise - help people or ruin their lives by answering trivia questions about various media. Manga, anime, games, cartoons, movies, TV series etc.
The Gameplay
In Majotori, you start the game by learning about the person's problem or what they want. Then a witch named Lariat appears and offers to grant said wish if the person wins her game of trivia. Then you have to answer 8 questsions, after which the game spins between correct and wrong answers to determine the outcome (unless you got everything right/wrong) if the outcome is negative, there's also a chance you'll be bamboozled and the game will give you a good ending regardless. A big part of why this game is good is the sheer number of said questions, their variety and the fact that it’s still updated every once in a while, with new ones. (I got a question asking about the Invincible TV series, while the game was released about 4 years before the first season).
The artstyle
Majotori has a sharp-edged, minimalistic style with assets coming on the scene like in some sort of screenplay. Initially I wasn’t big fan of it, however the style did grow on me as I’ve played and then remembered about the experience I had with the game. It reminded me of flash games with its simplicity in both gameplay and graphics.
Storytelling and humor
The stories in Majotori are simple. They mostly concern normal human problems like finding love, help in avoiding a stressful situation, winning a game show or praying that you don’t go blind from watching the solar eclipse. Some are more outlandish; some have entire arcs of multiple wishes tied to the same story. There’s also a coat of comedic irony, nonsense and overexaggeration you’d see displayed by people on the internet. The stories aren’t very deep or engaging, save for a few moments but I don’t think that’s what they were aiming for. The game is mostly played for trivia questions and to see the outcome of the stories of multiple people. You can feel the consequences whether you win or lose, and they do carry over to the next wishes. I also think the humor gives the game a lot of personality.
Other aspects of note
The music composed for the game is fitting. Esther Garcia is credited as the author and while I personally prefer music composed by Alejandro Macia for later games, Majotori’s soundtrack is fine as is.
Conclusion
Majotori is a small, cute and fun game. It hit the scratch for games I didn't even know I had. Those being modern games that imitate the style of flash or pre-2010 games. Games that are small, simple, oftentimes minimalistic, lightweight and short to the point you can fully complete in a few hours at most.

El juego es muy divertido, dinámico y puedes jugarlo con amigos. Aunque mejoraría la cantidad y por tanto la diversidad de preguntas. Estaría bien una actualización con una remesa de nuevas preguntas, le echaría 10h más.
My Favourite Trivia Game
Majotori is a trivia game done right. You follow a bunch of different characters in their stories, who all need a certain wish granted. After a short while, Lariat, a witch, appears before them, she wants to play a game. The game is simple, answer a set of 9 questions based on random trivia. The more you answer correctly, the better your chances. It's basically a roulette wheel, with each question answered correctly being green and each one answered incorrectly being red. After all questions are answered, the wheel is spun. If it lands on green, the wish is granted, but if it lands on red, a terrible fate befalls the character. Follow a girl who wants to be queen, a couple in love, a firefighter, a dog and so many more interesting characters and see if you are able to grant them their wish with your unmatched trivia knowledge. The music's incredible, the art style is nice and I simply love the fact that, although this game was released in 2017, it is still being updated, as there are certain questions that could only be possible many years later. Honestly, if you breathe oxygen, you should play this one, it's silly, informative, and overall, just a good time, hands down the best trivia game I've played.
A silly little trivia game. You can customize the topics to a certain extent in the menu before starting. It was fun to see what happens to each of the characters, even if I did accidentally kill of quite a few of them. Great little game if you only have a couple minutes to play something.
