important notice: https://x.com/StudioTsundere/status/2051874276442358217 they just stated they are giving refunds to anyone who reached out. spread the word. get your money back update: small addition added to the bottom regarding their socials update 2: the Dev is an absolute joke. https://x.com/StudioTsundere/status/2022361410051997797 "time to make all male version of my game" posted fairly recently, in February. Dev can't even make the first episode, let alone finish their game. Update 3: Dev banned me from their discussions on march 26, for "disruptive non constructive posting." regardless of what I said, honestly, that shows they're watching the steam discussions, but once again, can't be bothered to actually communicate or give any real updates. and this is the same dev who, according to another review, went and said "inb4 8 years pass and i become omocat/yandev/piratesoftware?" in their own discord server. they know. also, since they banned me, they basically removed my posts, one of them being a timeline showing all their socials, their last updates for each of them, and how they basically haven't done anything at all. would go as far as to say they're now trying to censor things if it wasn't for Steam literally saying how long it's been since their last update. Do not buy this game. [strike]it is currently not worth supporting.[/strike] this game simply isn't worth supporting at all. going to do my best and be as objective as possible -the price is too much for how much content you're actually getting as of this review. you can literally get other visual novels for free with more content if you searched. I could -there has been no real update of any kind. looking through announcements, the last patch, Patch 1.1.0, was in March 2, 2025. there literally hasn't been any kind of actual update of any kind since then. -March 25, 2025, second to last announcement, the devs were hoping(not promising) to have a patch next month. the next following announcement was December 23, 2025. 8 months after. with still no update of any kind, just an apology and excuses. -under their early access info, they originally claimed they were planning on being in early access for 6-8 months. they have since updated it to be 2-3 years, and this was only after their last announcement with no updates. in other words, the game hasn't received any new episodes, let alone basic bug fixes for months. the more Biased stuff(feel free to ignore this part) -The dev(s) are seemingly treating Steam as an afterthought. they mentioned several times how they post updates on their socials(twitter/X, Discord, etc), but they couldn't be bothered to post on Steam regularly. -the dev(s) are possibly in over their heads, because they always seem to have an excuse for no updates, saying how they are constantly experiencing burnout with nothing to show for it. closing note - the dev(s) are saying how this is a passion project, but there's been nothing to show they actually care, at least on Steam. they claim they're still working on the game, but outside of their last announcement, there still has yet to be any kind of patch of any kind, let alone any content update. I personally would not trust this dev team to deliver anything at this point in time. I would say if they're claiming to be in EA for 2-3 years, I would check by then if you're somehow still interested in this. it's honestly a shame because the idea and premise is interesting, but the lack of communication on Steam, treating it like an afterthought, and still taking people's money with nothing to show for literal 8 months, you're better off learning how to make your own visual novel. Heck, Heartbound gets more updates, and if you know, you know. Update: [strike]link to my discussion post regarding their socials[/strike] [strike]https://steamcommunity.com/app/1703610/discussions/0/739286791478063360/ [/strike] the dev banned me from their discussion and removed the evidence i provided. they can be bothered to check the steam discussions to ban me, but they can't be bothered to give an announcement of any kind to say what's going on. TL DR version: checked their twitter/X, youtube, tumblr, and bluesky which was linked on their last announcement. somehow they have even less updates, let alone posts, in general. I did not join their discord server, though I would imagine it would be just as sparse. their kickstarter page is even more behind on announcements, their patreon's last update was for a preview of an art piece for a "what if it was a manga" thing, no real actual update. their itch.io page doesn't have the game but does show they have other VNs made before. the link to what i'm assuming is supposed to be their site is a dead one, aka it doesn't work. your mileage may vary on what you can find, but this is what I was able to do when digging around to find any kind of actual update. Dev can't even seem to have an actual plan, just a vague "I plan on getting something out by X date" instead of having some kind of concrete idea. language translation, a preview, a bug fix even. instead, we're not even knowing what we'll be getting so it could just be nothing, even if they do deliver, because now we have no real expectations. additional note: according to another review, their discord server is more or less dead with the dev just complaining about not getting anything done, and the small fanbase validating them because none of them are willing to hold them accountable. same review also points out how it's apparently been almost 5 years since the reveal of this game. do not support this Dev. even if they finally push something out, it will not live up to the non existent hype that's gone by now, and I would not trust them if they ever release another game, let alone visual novel.
On July 25, 2021. Tsundere studios revealed this project. It can be assumed that this idea was cooking for a while, but i'll put some personal doubt on that. At most, it was likely only an idea with a few loose drawings made. They started revealing some character designs and personalities. shortly after. and in around october of 2021 made a steam page, and that's all well and good! Marking this as their first steam release, despite the fact they've made games before. On Febuari 13th, 2022, they released the game's free demo. featuring the entire prologue/episode 1 that you likely see today should you get this (which i urge you not to.) This demo was likely also given to streamers beforehand as free steam keys. how many were actually give/used/streamed is not known to me. On March 15th. they dropped their Kickstarter Launch trailer. it got quite a bit of attention from what i saw. getting 70,005$ on it. that seems like a massive profit for a small indie game, no? In fact, they managed to get their 100% funded IN THE SAME MONTH of the kickstarter, AND dropping game merch. talk about a great start! many Indie devs would cry to be this fortunate. On December 17th, 2022. they revealed their next game and steampage for "Virtual Girlfriend: Eliza" A game that- wait a second, this game wasn't finished yet and they're already planning another game? To this day it's only a few screenshots and steampage. On Febuary 24, 2025.... god it's been 3 years since the demo's release. so in that time they surely had a lot done and- Nope, it's just the demo again, slightly overhauled and a few new girls.... At least the promise of the next episode to come soon is there On August 10th, 2025- look do you really care? You know what's coming next, creator making apologies for not updating the game, missing deadlines made by themselves, and even joking about worrying that they'll be the next laughing stock saying "inb4 8 years pass and i become omocat/yandev/piratesoftware?" WHICH IS ON THEIR OWN DISCORD, MIND YOU. Look, there's not more things of note inbetween now and the last update. Whatever reason the dev(s) have for not working on the game can be as valid as they can get, and respectfully, they also keep that to themselves. But YOU, the reader, should NOT invest in this game before the Early access card falls off. To this day, the discord is just a dead server where "m." The owner sometimes vents about how little they're working on the game with people just validating them sometimes. none of them are willing to express their annoyance. The dev keeps blaming burnout at every corner. and that's fine, burnout is real and it's human. But SO MUCH MONEY has been tossed at this project and what has come from it? Remember the first date i showed? we're just a few months off of FIVE YEARS SINCE REVEAL. This isn't even some high quality multiplayer shooter or in depth stratagy game that needs constant balancing to keep things fun. This is a visual novel. and while what IS there IS GOOD. Making a game like this isn't rocket science. And sure, i can easily be lumped into the "haters on steam" that they keep complaining about. But gods their discord really needs to look inwards and think "Is this something i'm willing to support?" because i was in the crowd of people who greatly enjoyed it. i eagerly awaited the Demo back in 2022. We're now four years from that point, and i realize how sad that is. A Game is hard to make. But a Visual novel in 5+ years of development with only a demo's worth of content sounds like the start of a very sad joke. which, mind you. 70k backer money.
Do not purchase this game currently, the devs have not given any updates on steam since a delay in march and im not sure if its been abandoned or not, what the game has so far is good and promising but don't buy until it is confirmed that it will be finished. I will change this review to positive once the game has any updates.
I really truly do want to recommend this game, but right now I can't. I love everything that this game could be. As an aromantic person myself, I love the representation that this game offers and would love to see this game finished. I've been following this game since mid 2022, still have the oldest demo downloaded to my computer, and I bought the early access on release day. I love everything about what this game could be. But right now, it isn't much. I have played the base content in this version over at least twice, and still have less than two hours in this game. Despite it having been five years since the initial announcement, this game has less than two hours of content. The dev also isn't very forthcoming with information. At one point, there was an official announcement for an actual release date, November 1st 2024. That day came and went with radio silence. I understand that they are human, and have experienced incredible burnout and other challenges that have prevented them from working on this project. However, I really don't think anything can justify charging $15 for what is essentially a demo and a promise. tldr: I like the idea of this game, but it's not worth it right now.
kind of ridiculous that i paid 15 bucks for a nothingburger game that hasn't had one single update in forever. bought and played april 2025 now it's april 2026 maybe my review will change if anything actually gets done but as of now i would say do not buy this game.
an update was promised at march. the only news we got on the steam page was on the same day, saying that they neede some time. its december. personally i dont think its coming out, and if it is, better to just wait and purchase it after an update at least
This is a fun visual novel with a punchy, manga-like art style (there are even some cutscenes that are designed to look like a comic strip!), revolving around a seemingly simple premise: "What if the main character in a Dating Sim didn't actually want to date anyone?" Not that the cast of Love-Love Girls' High School (yes, that's the name) is going to make it easy for the Bocchi-like lead, Aya. There's a zany cast full of anime clichés to deal with: the disturbed pink-haired yandere, the overworked class representative, the super-rich heiress who's definitely not a serial killer, the buff and hot-blooded tomboy, the robot girl, the gyaru who's secretly a huge anime nerd, the Gundham Tanaka/Shun Kaido-esque occult girl, the silent artist whose eyes never open... Seems like the kind of thing that would be right up my alley! And what I played looked and felt great, aside from a couple typos and a slightly finicky skip button. So... why the thumbs down, you may be asking? My main issue with this game is that, well, there's not a lot of "game" just yet. As it currently stands, there's only an hour or two of material here, and that's if you're weird like me and want to double back and get as many hearts as possible because you can't stand the idea of being anything less than perfect. This idea has potential! I do like it! But the current product feels like it should have been released as a demo. I know it's an Early Access game, but I don't think that's an excuse. I can't in good conscience recommend paying that much money for a demo. (Note: I will amend this review once the developer updates their game. Please support the COMPLETE and FINISHED release!)
its sad to say but its been like 5 years in development for a simple dating VN it might be never finished wish i got a refund lol .... the dev abandoned it which is a total shame bc i love the characters.... so many people kickstarted this too... so sad so much potential
very disappointed, not because the game is bad, it has a good storyboard, interactivity and story but more on the fact about how long it took to release, in which i can understand it takes alot of time to process and make a game so i didn't really care to be honest, but more the fact that it hasn't come out with the update it promised and just feels like i spent my money on a game that feels like it'll never be fully developed or enjoyed.
Aya: "It looks like a rock." Nozomin: "It's not just any rock! It's an ancient relic, imbued with magical properties." Aya: "What does it do?" Nozomin: "It predicts the weather!" Aya: "Oh? That's kind of cool. How does it do that?" Nozomin: "You see, if the rock dances then that means there is an earthquake coming!" Aya: "So it's just a rock." Nozomin: "IT'S NOT JUST A ROCK!" Pros: Typing mechanism mini game is fun Paper graphics Humor, humor, humor A+ Cons: No episode release since late Feb $15 game for less than an hour of gameplay, since only the first episode is available The first episode consists of introducing all the characters and their quirks. It seems a lot of love and care was put into the character designs and humor. I can tell Nozomin will be my favorite. Pls update soon.
