Arcade cover shooter inspired by Time Crisis, Metal Slug and 80's action heros! He's got an itchy trigger finger, some scratchy stubble, and a fondness for shooting dudes in the face. Run and gun your way through gorgeous 3D environments as you embark on a mission to rescue your kidnapped girlfriend from the Forces of Evil.

A little love letter to one of my childhood games I honestly never thought I would be writing a Steam review for Major Mayhem all these years later. I first discovered this game when I was younger, and it became one of those games that somehow stayed in the back of my mind for decades. There was just something about it: the ridiculous action, the goofy humor and characters, the explosions, the music, the arcade feeling... it was pure fun. And now, years later, I finally bought it on Steam. And honestly? It still hits. Maybe it's nostalgia talking, but playing Major Mayhem again feels like opening a time capsule from my childhood. The game is simple, chaotic, stupid in the best possible way, and incredibly satisfying. Shooting through enemies, saving hostages, unlocking weapons, chasing medals and achievements... I remembered why I loved this game in the first place. I know this isn't some gigantic AAA masterpiece, and I don't think it needs to be. Major Mayhem knows exactly what it wants to be. It's a short, silly, colorful, arcade-style shooter that doesn't take itself too seriously. And somehow, that's exactly why it has so much charm. Seeing that this game is still here on Steam genuinely makes me happy. There are games you play once and forget, and then there are games that become attached to a specific period of your life. Major Mayhem is one of those games for me. It's also kind of funny coming back to it years later and realizing that I'm apparently the only one still playing it. But honestly, I don't care. Even if I'm the only one shooting my way through these levels in 2026, I'll happily keep doing it. Thank you, Rocket Jump, for making something that stuck with me for so long. Thank you for the nostalgia. Thank you for the dumb jokes, the explosions, the ridiculous weapons, the hats, the enemies, the chaos... And most importantly: Thank you for your service Major Mayhem 100/10 from me. Not because it's perfect. But because sometimes a game doesn't need to be perfect to mean something to you. Long live the Major. 🫡

Very nostalgic I remember playing this on my old phone I recommend!
Fun time waster, used to play it on my iPad when I was a kid. It translates quite well to PC. If you can get it on sale I would recommend.
I remember seeing the ads for this game late at night on Adult Swim when I was in middle school or high school. Great game for mobile phones, even better on PC for obvious reasons (lack of microtransactions). Certified hood classic.
👍
8 years later still enjoyable for some hours but this was never great considering it's a mobile port so maybe look for a cheaper key or wait for a deep sale and dont expect much from it
