The game in itself is quite nice. Retro feel to the graphics, but I like that, so a plus in my book. No progression kept on death, except for main base and resources gathered, is great. Game could use some refinement though. - While the UI is functional, it is not great imho. Health bar would be better placed on top, instead of a bottom corner of the screen. - There is no tutorial level(island), which in itself is OK, but makes you have to experiment to find how the game-mechanics work. If that is the intention, great. Job well done. But I would've liked some more information(on-hover or a first-occurence type of deal would be nice) Conclusion: I like it, but it can do with some polising
Back to basics. Simple but nice graphics, simple game control with not too many buttons/keys to memorize. And yet tons of monsters and lot of islands to explore. Love it.
Magic Monsters is a gem that will enchant every fan of fantasy.
