Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 14 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Magical Diary is a classic scheduling/dating life sim with Wolf Hall as its sequel where you play a male character who's already used to the magical world. I feel like playing Wolf Hall made me appreciate more of the story line in the first one just because of the additional context the MC's perspective provides. In terms of gameplay, it's still very easygoing and casual compared to other scheduling sims; the visuals and UI are also improved. The personality system feels more subtle, but still has an impact on relationships and paths (ex. the most cost-effective way to become class president is if you have a primarily flirty personality). I did wish that the exams allowed for more creative applications of spells because once you get to 30 Blue Magic & 20 White Magic (plus a blue charm) why bother learning other spells? Black (lowkey pointless in dungeons) and Red magic (Potsdam gives more merits if you take non-violent approaches) are largely underutilized and only come up when characters check to see if you know certain spells (Spark, Seal, etc). But then again, it's primarily a dating sim. The storylines themselves are fun and easy to pursue. That being said it's hilarious how in Horse Hall the female MC feels like she's fighting for her life at every turn (auto-demerits from Grabiner, William sees her as a little sister, too beta to run for president, can easily fall for Damien) and meanwhile chad Gary Stu is just strolling on through (knows Grabiner, can date William, can run for president, trick Damien). I do hope that someday we'll get another game, perhaps set in the following year.

I liked the game. VN and life sim, well balanced in my opinion. Creative problem solving is rewarded.
I tried, for too long. I really wanted to like this game. Sadly, I wish I could get my money back. The art style is too drastically different from Magical Diary: Horse Hall for me. I cannot get into it. I think it is a massive downgrade. Having more options does not automatically make them "better" options and they could have made more unique characters available in the same art style as before. I know the original seemed sort of basic, but continuity is important. They look like completely different people in some cases! I feel I would have enjoyed it otherwise. If you do not care about the art downgrade or care about what the characters looked like before, it seems like more of the same gameplay wise. Poor Grabiner and William got it the worst. Damien looks pretty bad too, not that I liked him very much.
the game is not hard. however it does give you the sense that your choices matter. obviously a few things NEED to happen, but because im a nosey nelly i always rewind and explore my dialog options. you are the protagonist, but there isn't a Voldemort to slay, so relax and enjoy your high school experience. ending was a tad lackluster, but that's because high school IS lackluster. there was celebrating, but besides the novelty, there was nothing grand about it. i hope there is a sequel.
Amazing dungeon crawling, fun interactions. 10/10
It's a fun little game! If you havent played the first game: It's a stat-building/dating sim game. With a bit of a puzzle game built into in through the exam dungeon exams you'll have to take throughout the year. The interface is really polished for an indie game in this genre, and the storu is pretty good even if you folllow the obvious paths. And there seem to be a lot of non-obvious paths t take as well, if you want replayability. I took a look at the achievements when I had finished the first few playthroughs. And there's many I've got NO idea on how to get! I'm gonna have do another few more playthoughts! If you did play the first game: The interface on this is better. I feel prgress is better-balanced. The puzzles in the dungeons are more interesting, though still not TOO hard to figure out. (Even for me... And I SUCK at puzzles...) And you get to figure out a few mysteries from the first game. Like what REALLY happened when that door got set on fire, and why. And what happened with that Wildseed that got expelled last year Ellen gets warned about. So, yeah, I reccomend this game, if you like the genre!
Charming writing, magic and characters makes this an absolutely delightful game. There are a couple... Odd choices that I think mostly come from not understanding American culture too well but they're easy enough to get past so you can experience just a delightful tale of going to magic school.
Apparently you can date people in this game, I wouldn't know, I was too busy Wizardmaxxing. The Dungeons are a ton of fun and I wish there were more
While I like the first in the series more as a personal preference - this game is still really great. Dungeons aren't as fun as the first but still really good and worth playing.
