A great game for people who enjoy idle/auto battling, simulations, RPGS, and more. Magic Research 2 handles the automation aspect very well, with there being no need for autoclickers or MACROs to play this game to its fullest potential.
Windows only still..?
Very, very good.

Tons of interesting mechanics and interplay. Very in depth. Very satisfying to figure out the puzzles of how to proceed effectively.
An excellent text-heavy incremental game. Lots of unlockable mechanics, an engaging enough story, and challenges that require strategy to complete. Very full-featured. Magic Research 2 has active gameplay for an incremental game, but doesn't really fall into the trap of encouraging autoclickers or macro use, since actions can be assigned to trigger at intervals while the game is running. The game kept hinting that it was winding down but then continued, which was fun. The retirement system slightly differentiates runs (with the picking of primary elements and
classes
) but it sort of felt like a way to extend the game length. Trimps remains my favorite incremental game, but I did love Magic Research 2, and it remains second or third alongside Orb of Creation.

I coveted this game. The game has depth, complexity without being overwhelming, and is oddly well balanced. The progression pace is constant and rewarding. I sunk around 240 hours into finishing the game, about 70% of that was active or moderately active game-play. That is incredible value.
Very good incremental/management game. I think it trips over itself a little bit early, I bounced off of it 2 times in about 15~ hours where things feel like they are stagnating. Hidden behind this wall you start to unlock incredibly interesting things, being more spell types, combining items, and familiars. If you can stick with it to these mechanics I think it's insanely good
