About
MAGE is a magical, action-packed 2D projectile fighter inspired by controller couch party classics. Play with up to 4 players locally or online in fast, explosive rounds with the game’s unique single-stick system and charming pixel art style. Like any good party game, it’s easy to pick up but difficult to master. With only three buttons to learn, your next game night will start faster and definitely end later.

Players point their wands with the left stick, using triggers to either shoot towards or boost away from their wand. This simple system leads to deep strategy, with crazy flickshots and narrow dodges commonplace in the intense combat. And when a player is about to be hit, timing a button press just right will allow them to COUNTERSPELL, siphoning their opponent’s magic to instead power a gargantuan attack of their own! Just be careful they don’t siphon that right back…

With 21 very different playable Mages, there are tons of ways the game’s simple move, shoot, and counterspell inputs are creatively reworked into new and unique ways to play. Between Wind Mage’s redirectable projectiles, Nature Mage’s grappling hook, and Moon Mage’s zero gravity, the magic you choose to master will always be stylish and silly in equal measure.

MAGE features in-depth match customization, ensuring your party has all the control you need. Free for all, 1v1, and team modes are all available. You may also toggle on and off different modifiers, messing with game rules like rounds to win or healing on kill. MAGE’s 200 maps across ten environments can also be toggled on and off, allowing you to pick between randomly traversing them all or focusing on specific map gimmicks.

Made by four close friends learning and studying game development together, MAGE is a classic example of indie gaming at its most passionate and self-fulfilling. A wishlist, purchase, and/or review all go a long way towards supporting our fledgling studio. Thank you!

Great game to play with friends/family! Two big highlights for me are the sound design and the movement system. Such a charming game, and really hope to see more games from these devs in the future!
This game is so mega, awesome, gregarious, and encounters. I have played so much mage over the development process and it has been such a blast to work on. One of the best games to play with a group of friends, it's super easy for anyone to pick up but has lots of depth in its systems that make you want to keep playing over and over again. 10/10 game!
This game is great! Its a good party game with friends. that is easy to pick up but has a lot of room to get better at. As it is right now the game could use more gamemodes, perhaps larger maps, and definitely bugs fixes. None of these limitations make the game not worthwhile. I would reccomend anyone with friends to get this game.
THIS GAME IS SO PEAK I LOVE THIS GAME The voices are the funniest part Simple but fun combat Could be some more variation between characters. 9.5/10
Unplayable with keyboard and mouse. Absurd default keybindings that are highly unnatural. You can rebind abilities but not arrows or WASD. Even then, they don't save and you will have to do this every time. By default, you will also control a second player (for an unknown reason) with defaults of ",./". Yep, that's right. Countless bugs even within the first few minutes. Might be better with controller, not sure.
Stupid fun for no reason lol
Amazing game.
Hi
Huzzah! Seems to work well with controller but keyboard stuff, especially trying to rebind seems to crash the game and in the case of my friend just completely reset their controls with '?' meaning they can't reset the menu or anything.
