The game has exceeded my expectations a lot, it is immersive and the story is cool for me. I really like jumpscares, so I don't mind them. The streamer idea is very different, and it adds some flavor to the game. There are some typos and minor bugs, but developers said that they are going to fix them. Also a map would've been good, I hope it will be added in future. In short, it is a good game and I would like to see the developers' next projects.
First of all, a big shout out to Hurrycat Studios who helped me find a beta version of the game with all the jumpscares disabled! They went above and beyond to help me, and I really appreciated that. I love spooky horror games, but I cannot handle jumpscares, and this game looked too cool to pass up. Pros: The scenery and atmosphere are perfect if you love abandoned hospital/asylum games like I do! I was really impressed with how the building felt like an abandoned asylum from the early 20th century, right down to the architecture, furniture, etc. Exploring the building with just the flashlight was terrifying and awesome. Cons: I didn't really care for the whole live streamer aspect of it. It felt a bit jarringly modern against the old, mysterious building and its history. The live stream pop ups and internet outages took me out of the immersion of being in the asylum. I would much rather have just explored it on my own without all that. I didn't really care for the whole "ghost world" thing, either. It also pulled me out of the immersion of enjoying the exploration of a creepy, abandoned building, and running back and forth to the graveyard to listen to "Willy" ramble on was annoying to me. Lastly, the developers REALLY need to hire some native English speakers to edit the dialogue. Some of it was really, really bad and made me cringe. I'm not sure if they used some kind of British-accented AI voice for "Willy", but his vernacular made no sense a lot of the time, and he would add random "eth"s to the ends of words to make him sound more historical, I guess? But it was so inconsistent. Overall, a fun, spooky little game with beautiful graphics, especially if you love old hospitals and asylums. And the developers are very communicative and helpful with listening to feedback.
I can't say not to buy this game... but I can't rave about it either. It's a mid-tier solo ghost hunting game. Sure you play as a live streamer who's exploring an old asylum... but it's really "hand holding" for almost the entire game. Even the puzzles that are in the game tell you exactly what to put to solve them without you even having to think for yourself. There's only three ghosts (four if you count the very short encounter in the cemetery area)... and those don't last very long at all. I've only got four hours in the game because I had to restart the game because I got to a part in the game where an event didn't happen so the game wouldn't progress... I put some time between playthroughs... and gave it a fresh run. I feel like there could've been a lot more variety with this game... and a lot less "hand holding" would've made it a lot more fun. I don't like the fact that when you're being "chased" by one of the ghosts that the screen changes to a green/black mix and it makes it virtually impossible to see. The screen should've just stayed the normal color with maybe a flickering of the flashlight to make the chase more panic inducing. It's not a horrible game... so I won't give it a "thumbs down"... but it's not really a great game either. It's a game that you should buy if you're looking to kill some time with a horror game... but you're not really going to find any "lasting" terror or memorable horror from. Also there's a part in the game where I think you should've been given an "option" on what you wanted to do... but I won't say more as to not spoil the story for anyone wishing to play it. I just think it makes your character look rather incompetent in what he does for a "living" if there's no chance of making the obvious decision for anyone who's dealt with supernatural forces or knows anything about them.
Bro, how is this game so cheap with these kinda graphics? I'm hooked on this game! The gameplay is so thrilling, and the visuals are stunning. Great for streaming with its interactive elements. Definitely a must-play!
Cool little game, way better than most "penny dreadful" games that swarm steam recently.
很无聊
WHAT THE KUSO GAME
